Just to share the of tips wordings around, re above mentioned blog, Icelolly is 14p x 3 for premium members
So recently i have been advertising Quidco's referral program (On this reddit and a few other UK based forums) along with a few decent cashback offers running at the moment which were very good deals at the time for cashback upon trial signups.
I woke up this morning to my account being blocked. An email soon followed essentially stating how people from countries such as Poland had begun signing up to this offer via my referral link therefore i was liable (which i still don't agree with but there you have it).
Essentially due to the amount of referrals i generated instead of manually detecting whether someone not eligible to have an account was attempting to sign up they just fully blocked my account permanently.
On engaging with them via email it was clear whatever i said would not undo the ban and they refused to discuss the matter over phone or chat.
Very poor from them in my opinion and my warning to you guys would to be to stay clear of promoting Quidco on this subreddit with a referral link as the same could apply to you if you receive too many referrals.
I've posted this on a subreddit and its not been just me having these issues a lot of people replied saying they had been banned recently too for no reason.
Referral links are just that, for you to give out to your personal referrals. Perhaps friends, perhaps family etc What they aren't expecting you to do is try and get loads of randoms to sign up for monetary gain.
If you want that then reach out to their PR and become an affiliate, then you can promote however you want and get as many signups as you like!
yeah I imagine people in the UK will be dropped as well. Referral link trains and all that isn't what the quidco referral scheme is designed for.Understand what you're saying but if that's the way they think why isn't there a cap on how many "personal" referrals you can make?
Also people from the UK are getting banned aswell not just people which are not eligible to have an account in the first place.
