Just got a snooty email from roamler about not having been active for a while and that they will deactivate accounts if left without completing tasks for too long. It's only been about 6 weeks. Makes me feel a bit like i'm being bullied into going out and doing a task just to keep my account going. Has anyone actually had their account disabled due to this or is it just something they say?

Has anyone done the sweet pepper checks yet? They look a bit bargepoley to me...
I did one yesterday. I wouldn't normally touch those type of tasks but the missus sent me to Sainsburys early and the place was empty so I tried one. Took about 15 mins and loads of pics. No organic stuff at all so had to keep taking same pic over and over on part 2. The veg section was directly opposite the only open checkout so it was hard to take covert pics. Definite bargepole, not sure if it will get approved.
The tomato tasks for tomorrow look even worse as they're all in Co-ops or small tesco extas etc. No chance!

They are a PITA for doing that. Last time they sent me one I just did one of their daft unpaid things to keep them quiet

Sounds like one to avoid! I did one of the tomato tasks last time they were up and they weren’t pleasant!

A friend has told me about Roamler but said I need a code, task 360 is very quiet in my area at the mo. Any ideas how to get one please? Have signed up to FB page for them as friend said they post in there sometimes just wondered if there were any other ways?

Cheers

I dcouple of the pepper checks but wouldn’t do anymore without an increased fee.

Has anyone noticed they are taking ages to review at the moment? It’s not like there’s loads of tasks at the moment so god knows why it’s taking so long. Still not been paid for one done on Monday.

Yes they only paid the one I did Saturday yesterday. Certainly wouldn't do another of those for £4. They paid the Miracle Grow ones I've done since almost immediately, much easier jobs and paid £6 each

Same here - not sue why taking so long. Roamler don''t realize we have cottoned on to not doing lots of tasks until they are marked - as they could reject them stating you have not done them correctly.

Don’t forget they’re an international company based in Holland. So just because there’s not a lot of jobs in the uk doesn’t mean that they aren’t doing with a huge volume of jobs in other countries. In fact that may be the very reason why there’s not many jobs on in the uk at the minute...

It's interesting to click on the profiles of the people who approve your tasks. They often seem to be other Roamlers at low levels well below mine. Eg the girl who approved my last one was level 1 with 250 points and the guy who did the previous one was level 2 with 990 points. Not sure how they qualify to judge our submissions.

Yeah sure they are busy - still best not to do too many of the same task until they have approved it - when I first started I did 16 tasks only to have them assessed 12 days later and to be told I wasn't doing correctly. Now I just do one - at a push two. If they take too long to assess I just do shops from other companies that assess and pay faster.

I THINK it was like this when I used to do work for Roamler many years ago. The staff at Roamler HQ don't really do many tasks, hence the low scores

I think you're right Jon. I wasn't sure if they are staffers in the office or other taskers but they don't seem to have much idea of what's involved sometimes. Although she approved my task she'd commented that a couple of the pics were a bit blurred and to be more careful next time. This was after I'd pointed out in the comments that I had to take 15 pics under the gaze of a bored checkout girl with no customers in an empty supermarket. It's hard to ensure everythings perfect when you're trying to be covert under those conditions. Definite bargepole as our mate Mabozza would say!
Incidentally for any Roamlers cashing out I noticed today while cashing out that below £20 they charge 2% whereas above that it's free. Got a feeling that's changed from before but can't remember for sure

Yeah I do the same if it's a task type I haven't done before.

A word of warning if you're on Iphone. Don't download the latest Roamler update that was posted yesterday as it doesn't work. The app hangs on the opening Roamler symbol and refuses to budge. Just waiting for a response from their tech support. I'll post any reply I get

I’ve just won a Samsung galaxy s6 on eBay. With a 12 month warranty of course. So it’s back to android I come! Can’t say my experience with iOS has been pleasant and now with the demise of T360 I welcome my return with open arms! Who would have thought that google could get it so right?
