Hi there. I would really like to try Roamler - but I was wondering, is there anyone here who has tried Field Agent and Gigwalk and Roamler and can tell me if Roamler is better (and has more frequent job offers) then the other two?

I recently downloaded Field Agent and Gigwalk, in the hopes of making some small change while out and about - however, even after having both those apps for over 1 month - I have not been offered a single paid job from either of them. There has been nothing from Gigwalk at all - and Field Agent keeps only offering me unpaid jobs. :-( I have completed every free job Field Agent have offered me though - as I know that some apps like you to complete some free jobs first before offering paid ones - but despite doing several free ones now, there still doesn't seem to be any sign of real paid jobs.

I am aware that Roamler usually want users to do some free jobs first before paid ones - and I am fine with that, as long as I know there will actually be real paid jobs after a while.

And I've also heard that with Roamler, you need an invite/activation code to use the app - does anyone know where I can get one? :-( I don't personally know anyone else who uses Roamler, so I don't know where I'm supposed to get one from.

Thank you.

The field agent app is pretty much dead these days. You should be looking at bemyeye instead

You can get a Roamler invite code on here once you get your post count to 10 good quality posts...

I’m new to the site but have been making some money from job spotter. Depends what sort of place you live in I think and whether there are lots of new jobs around. Or if you go to different places a lot then there’s more variety. Checkout smart has phases of being really good with lots of free food but you need to want that type of thing otherwise you’re not really saving money!

Roamler is one of the top 2 earning apps... as Jon says the other is BeMyEye... Apps are my thing, i make thousands from Roamler and BME each year.. once you get your invite code, you will do level 1 which is an unpaid training level, when i did my Level one it took nearly 3 weeks to complete, nowadays i believe it can be done in a couple of days... once you complete it you go to Level 2 and therein waits all the paid tasks, All apps are fluid, today you may have 200 tasks around you, tomorrow only 2... You can make an awful lot of money from the apps but it involves putting in time and be willing to travel a bit to make big bucks.. i just cashed out this months earnings early £332 since Aug 1st...but as i said i am a heavy user and i do it alongside my day job. BeMyEye is right up there alongside Roamler in the earnings category... no training level, just sign up and start..Both apps have a tendency to raise the pay on tasks...you hold off and hope someone else doesnt grab a task and the pay may rise. Field Agent was once the top of the Apps, now it is a shell oif its former self, it is mostly unpaid surveys with a "prize draw" which is never won by anyone known to anyone in the task apps users circle for some odd reason... for about 18 months there was not one paid task on it in the whole UK, in recent months a few paid tasks have appeared, but the quota is tiny..maybe only just one or two completions needed and many the tasks are video tasks (You video yourself answering questions) Gig walk i have had over 2 years and for someone such as me who is a heavy task app user the fact i have made £0 in 2 years will tell its own story!! So stick with Roamler and BeMyEye, other active apps are Streetspotr (Taking pics of menu in McDs and BKs) Shepper can be worth looking into depending on your locale really,Red Wigwam is good (Not really a task app...lots of different types of paid work) Job Spotter (You see a "situation vacant" ad in a shop or wherever, snap a pic and get paid in points which accrue and turn into Amazon vouchers,.. and Mobeye sometimes has daft wee tasks for pennies like take pics of an orange, or a candle etc... Streetbees has some paid tasks on (not one i really use)

Just downlaoaded BeMyEye to have a look. Do multiple people all do the same tasks? Or once you choose it does it disappear? Read one about asking a pharmacist for advice. Surely in a small shop it would be a bit obvious if loads of people are suddenly interested in probiotics?!!!

Good question though :)

Ah makes sense! Just looking at options. On streetspotter there are some reviews saying don’t bother and recommending task 360 instead. Would you agree?

Those are what we call "Bargepole Tasks".. as in dont go near with a bargepole, even BMEs UK guy says the task is a joke.... Once you reserve a task on an app it disappears for all other users only reappearing if you dont complete it. On apps there are many bargepoley tasks, read the brief first and decide if you want to do it

Ah great info, thanks all. Lol re the bargepole. I have guts but not sure I could keep my face straight asking about something I know nothing about and trying to remember what they recommend so I can fill the form in!!

Yeah, no one is doing those... the pay in effect is only £2... no one is touching them

I can't get Roamler to work for me so it's not been worth my time as of yet but I'm sure there are others who get on with it ok!

In what way is it not working? Have you a technical issue?

It's more to do with the connection - it won't recognise where I am for some reason when I'm out and about which is kind of a sticking point lol. Perhaps it's because I use WiFi, but I don't know.
