When I signed up to Roamler I remember seeing possibilities of local delivery jobs being mentioned. Has anyone ever seen such a thing or did I dream it?

Lol I thought it was these you meant... so they are not incognito... you introduce yourself...show an LOA on the task you the see a pic of some product to look for take pics then look for promo material...take a photo and that's it.
Tip....if you aren't sure what a task involves do a dummy run thru...accept any one and do it as if you were there...take pic of anything so you can proceed..then after last question just cancel/abandon it..(just be sure the one you dummy is not one you would do...pick one a hundred miles away)

Hey all roamler sounds like the sort of app I would be looking to get into but obviously I have some questions first, I can't get into the roamler app atm, I currently live in a little Welsh town called Abertillery and am wondering whether there would actually be any jobs in my area? Anyone from a quiet rural area getting much work there are lots of supermarkets around my area and I can drive so no issue going out to do jobs.

Roamler does tend to have jobs all over the place...it is a bit quiet just now but upon a quick check I see one in Morrisons Ebbw Vale which looks not far from you. You are best getting as many Task Apps as you can and check them all regularly... If travelling is possible then Bristol has tons of tasks on various apps just now (I know that crossing the bridge back to Wales would wipe a lot of that out)

Thanks for checking for me what other apps would you recommend, unfortunately I am an Android user and I know a lot of apps are for iPhone aren't they?

Well every app except T360 and currently FA are Android and Ios.. So Roamler obviously is the busiest (but generally poorest money to effort ratio) BeMyEye have a new app...currently full of £5 convenience store tasks,Streetbees can be good (Sign up and use the webapp rather than downloading their stand alone app which doesn't get the tasks for some reason),Streetspotr gets some good jobs now and then, currently has about 7 Lidl tasks in your area (But I think may be one job per user) Clic & Walk,Yoobic,Findyr all worth having for the rare occasion they have a task, and appjobber has thousands of tasks (many near you) but mostly are car charging check at only £1 each. Also, not an app, but worth joining is RedWigWam have lots of mystery shop jobs just like the apps do, very simple and well paid as well as other instore jobs and home based reviews.
Us heavy users of T360 are always badgering the team to get an android version, but they steadfastly refuse (which I just don't get as Android is far more used than Ios, is (IMO) miles better, than Ios, certainly the camera on my S7 is insanely better than on my wee IPhone and typing on the IPhone is so bloody hard...) anyway...maybe one day.. I know the new licensee of FA is planning to have an android platform just as FA apps all over the rest of the world do.

[member=2821]mabozza[/member] Thanks for the info sorry took so long to get back to you been getting hold of all the apps you mentioned and have been getting myself registered. They ask for pictures in slot of the apps how can you take pictures of an entire department in a shop without being spotted lol is it best to go in when it's quiet or so there are less staff to spot you or when it's busy so you got cover from other shoppers lol

Honestly

Just go in with a "balls to the wall" approach

If you get caught by security so be it but 9/10 you won't

I do believe if T360 released an Android version, it would kill the earnings of several regular taskers. As mentioned, more people use Android than Apple and so there would be an influx of people doing the jobs. If taskers like myself who limit themselves to one area or city, earnings would be significantly less. I have always been an Apple user and owned every single iPhone since the original. Always been Mac over PC as well since leaving school. I have the 7 plus now and it's amazing. I dread the day T360 decide to develop for Android.. I hope it never happens. Apologies if this sounds selfish to Android users :-X

As far as Field Agent goes... I did their task regarding new features and wrote a good paragraph on why they should not develop an Android app. For one, they said it would be so they could include a lot more home type surveys jobs which imo suck. You'll see in a few months it will turn just like One Poll where it takes forever to earn anything decent.

Aye as Jon says just go for it....not all Roamler tasks are that intensive...but sadly most are...personally I won't touch any roamler task that involves 40 questions or is in a corner shop....in a large supermarket you can blend in...not so in a wee shop..plus one error and it's all in vain.

I get what you say about there being an influx of new users...personally I don't see that as a terrible thing... T360 is certainly the best app in terms of payment and task simplicity...but they get noticeably less and less tasks whereas you see an increase in all the duo platform apps...this is because the client wants the data quickly and since T360 severely limits it's pool of taskers clients go elsewhere...I have spied 4 major T360 tasks now being done on other apps in last 2 months...it is a bit of a two edged sword...less users more potential for earning but if they got an android platform they would have more users but also more clients...and more tasks. As for FA they have various versions all over the world and it is all field based tasks so I would expect the new UK one to keep along that line...indeed today I saw the first shop based task on the app £11 a pop....actually just had a look as I type and tons of £4 store audit jobs have been added.

Do you think the other apps like task 360s reluctance to bring out an android version is down to security concerns because I have heard that iPhones have stronger internet security protocols than android?

Ok.. will have to disagree. I think once people discover T360 they don't leave it. Use other apps sure.. but it would be unwise to give up on T360 unless they went bust. There can be quiet times but that can seem irrelevant against earnings during busy times. I think it's great if you can travel all around scooping lots of jobs but defiantly for those who don't do that, it would be a terrible thing for earnings. And since T360 doesn't really have a reservation/limitation system in place a lot of jobs would get picked up even earlier than they already do. I doubt the same quality than with less but more dedicated/reliable taskers. I certainly didn't realise they severely limited their pool of taskers... iPhone is popular with plenty users. Android is only more popular because it's endless phones and would = endless taskers.

Roamler and such can duo platforms because it's impossible to earn the same as T360. And I bet if they do develop for Android they would definitely have to start restricting people with levels and such like all the other duo apps. I don't see it being as open as it today. The best thing would be to keep it Apple and those people who want to earn should invest in an iPhone 5 or greater. I tell all my friends about this but they are skeptical or love their Samsung too much. There would be no point getting excited if it went to Android because 'everybody' would be doing it and all the glossy earnings posted online will no longer count.
