Hi
Ive just started to use the app for the first time, and have found both McDonalds and Burger Kings listed to do in my area and I was wondering (sorry, im still a novice at this) can i upload the information on wifi after i have completed the task at home or do i need to use my mobile data as I only have an oldish smartphone with 3G at the moment.
Thanks

Keep in mind the time allotted to complete the task.. if you dont get home or to a wifi hotspot before it ends you will lose the task... 3g will upload fine as only a couple of photos

Thank you, it should be a nice paid for lunch today! I can see taking the initial photo of the outlets a bit of a challenge without getting people's faces in it. Both the McDonald's and burger king are on the main town centre pedestrian only high Street. Any tips besides being patient :)

I try to get 'less' people in the photo but I never worry about getting people in the pic as long as they are not blocking the big sign with the name on. Mine was at a really busy train station in London and had people in it...StreetSpotr just paid out on it :)

Great Work! Although if you could stay of London while they are on, that would be great! :D

Well that was annoying. Left my house at 11.45 yesterday to go to burger king for a free lunch and when I got there ten minutes later the wrap job had disappeared. Looked again this morning and it is back on again. I wonder if they are removing them over normal lunch hours and then putting them back on later. I did the menu board but I'm still going back again today. I want my free BLT wrap!!!

You can reserve tasks for up to 6 hours, if you are in the vicinity of the task. I am pro level which means I get 12 and can be located anywhere.

You have to be very close to the task to reserve it unless,as you say, you are a pro user. I live about 3 miles from the restaurant so wasn't close enough.

Managed to get it the next day though

Btw, do you present yourself before taking pictures? Do you trust your understanding of requirements, or clarify with on duty manager if in doubt? Do you tell them if something is missing but could easily be rectified (eg, coupons available but not handed out)?

All the things I've done so far have been MS ones so you don't present yourself.

Photo of outside - who cares?
Photos inside - who cares, but if they ask anything make something up.

I do exactly what the brief is...no more. Only if I can't complete a task or it is missing a bit do I add stuff to the additional info section.

I was challenged by the security once in a shopping centre, they argued it was a private property (I was photographing the shop from the outside which still was inside the building). SS's assignments are usually not mystery ones but lengthy to photograph all posters and banners, I would not dare walking around recording everything without explaining first. They all use CCTV, it would raise the security's interest. Just remind me, what's MS?
MS = Mystery Shopper.

If a security guard asked me what I was doing I'd say I was taking photos of the shop. Its not illegal and they can't make me delete them. Last time I did one inside a shopping centre, it was Body Shop and I took the photo last. I did take photos inside the shop but I do it using the volume up button and with with the screen contrast down low.

I don't worry about anyone asking me questions. Worst case, just tell them what you are doing. They'll let you continue or they wont.

:)

Those are all mystery shops arent they?.. edit:just checked and there is indeed an LOA....they must have added that in when the task got simplified (used to be incognito and loads of photos not just one).. was also far better paid!!) Tbh with these i would do them incognito as they are now fairly simple... rather than get denied permission
