I came across Swagbucks around 16 months ago and I love it .. its a nice easy way to make a little bit of extra money.

You can earn swagbucks (SBs) from completing certain actions on the site. Swagbucks offers many ways, such as surveys, videos, tasks, polls, games, competitions.......lots of things really.

You currently need 849 SBs to get a £5 Amazon voucher or 1049 SBs to get £5 to your paypal account. I only exchange my points for Amazon vouchers as you get more for your bucks but sometimes I think the cash would be nice!

Last year I managed to buy a lot of Christmas presents on Amazon and I hardly had to use my credit card! It made things so much easier. Since I last changed up my SBs to vouchers mid December I have almost another £50 in Amazon vouchers :-D Making £25 a month is very do-able if you can do a survey everyday.

Here is my referral if anyone is interested in joining:

http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/kerrypage81

Also if you enter the following sign up code “FreeGiftCards” you will start with 50 extra SBs. :)

Liking your Swagbucks guide Reward Guy - thank you. Good as a newbie to know what to spend time on and what to think more carefully about

Re: Swagbucks

Agreed, it is a very good guide for new starters.

I tried getting into this last night but after handing over an email address numerous times, I was a bit 'meh' about it all but maybe I need to give it a bit more time

Thanks.
I am hoping to get some youTube screencast videos uploaded by next week for those who prefer a visual demo.
Once you get in to it, it is very easy to earn whilst multitasking.

What problem was is with the email address?

Its definitely worth persevering with. As I say in my blog post, I am earning about £10 (iTunes since they are good value) per week for 1 hour per day effort - its time that would otherwise have been "dead time" groaning on the sofa while the kids watched the same boring Peppa Pig episode for the 1000th time at 5am!

Re: Swagbucks

lol totally agree.. its great to when the kids are watching peppa pig.. although i refuse to get up at 5am lol

I usually get amazon vouchers as I'm not an iphone/apple person.. I think they work out the same as the itune vouchers, both a lot better than paypal.

Re: Swagbucks

The iTunes gift cards are £10 = 1,489, so a little better value than amazon. But if you're not a gamer or iPod stuffer, they're not much use.

I have been slacking a little over the past 2 days as I've been trying to get some screencasts onto YouTube and sorting out the website. Managed to get my YouTube onto page 1 under search term "how to use swagbucks" thanks to the Jaaxy keyword tool - hopefully get some extra traffic.

Time to set up the next website now I think.
So many abandoned hobbies to choose from though!

I hadn't realised that the referral bonuses had been improved so dramatically.
Get 10% of new member's points for life (not just searches - but a few exceptions)!

Oh that's good. You used to be able to get a maximum of 1000 SB from referrals searches.

I use Swagbucks and was pleased when they changed things so you could earn 10% for life on everything from your referrals.
It makes it worthwhile getting referrals now.

Re: Swagbucks

Yeah I really like Swagbucks. This year so far I've had 2 x £15 and 1 x 25 Amazon gift card and I've just ordered a £5 Paypal gift card. I'm trying hard to up my earnings.

Re: Swagbucks

Their current 10% referral bonus on most things (not just searches) is due to end on 25th February 2014 (Swagbucks' 6th birthday). It will be interesting to see if they extend it or simply revert to the old system?

Re: Swagbucks

Looks like the referral program has reverted back to the previous arrangement (i.e. only searches count etc.)
Bit of a shame.

Re: Swagbucks

I think that my suspicions about the accuracy of the referral system was misplaced. I have a new referral that is steaming ahead and earned me 29 SBs in a week :) - thank you "George A" whoever you are!
I must just have a lot of referrals that sign up and then lose interest.

I noticed it still says 10% for life from your referrals from everything they earn so It looks like that is going to stay.
Looks like they are keeping that feature which is good news. :)

It's strange because all of the chat on their forum was that it was reverting back to the "old system", but you are right to point out the banner saying 10% on everything. I suppose the fact that George A has netted me 29 SBs in about a week would tend to suggest that it must be 10% on everything - you'd be hard pressed to earn 290 SB on searches alone!?

I feel inspired to write another blog post about this ;)
