Hi Moneyshedders,

Utest are still running this voice recording project if anyone is interested in taking part. It will be running for the next few weeks and applicants must have a laptop with windows 10. I’m a bit stuck with the Windows 10 - BBC utterance collections (CM Feb) test cycle, can anyone help me please?

When it says upload evidence to show you have Windows 10, how exactly do I do that?

And do I click Pass/Fail myself??

It’s been a while since I did that bit but have you set up your laptop to be part of the programme? If so then I’m sure it’s a screenshot of the windows insider programme settings. And then you press pass on the test case.

there is a chat in UTest for the particular cycle that you are doing that you can post questions on and the team leaders will help.

I’ve uploaded evidence of Windows 10 and done the recording, but the next step says go to settings and updates and security and then click Windows Insider.. but that’s not there for me to click? I did tell them that I’m not part of the Insider program, and it says that in my Slot Description.

from my recollection there was two slots to choose one if you were part of the insider program and one if you weren’t. If you choose the one if you weren’t then there was instructions to follow to join the program. Think you would be best to ask in the chat for the cycle as the team leaders would be able to confirm what you need to do based on the test case you have chosen.

You will get an invite to the cycle for recording phrases once they have approved your test case. They pay by PayPal every fortnight at the start and middle of the month so make sure your PayPal details are in your profile.

I honestly can’t remember how much it was as I did it weeks ago but it would have been on your test case when you accepted it. If you login to UTest and go to your test cases you should see the amount on there.

I know that test case I’ve just done was £10.14, but I mean going forward over the 6 weeks, I don’t know how much I will be looking at earning altogether?

So far they have been £19.50 per test case that I’ve done and there is a survey one that I think was about £11. Easy money really as they don’t take long to complete.

We are on week 3 this week so you’ll hopefully get invited into this before it closes so potentially you have 4 test cases you can do plus a survey one.

I’m confused lol, they only invited me to the case yesterday, and said it was for 6 weeks, and that I had to be able to do it daily.. so how is there only 4? Sorry if I’m being thick I’m just new to this and don’t get it yet.

I think your getting confused with another project, this one was for 6 weeks but has already started and there is a weekly test case. I noticed that you’ve been commenting on Lionbridge work and the current project with them is for you to complete work daily.

Now I’m really confused ha.

I haven’t started any projects with Lionbridge, they emailed me today saying at the moment there’s no places but they will be in touch.

I’m on uTest. I’ve accepted an invite to a test for the BBC, I’ve done the first bit today for £10.14.

Yeah I know your on UTest and have done the test for the BBC but what I meant was that I seen you had commented on the post about Lionbridge and the Social Media job you have applied for and think your maybe getting confused with each job as the Lionbridge one stipulates daily participation when you apply, the BBC one definitely doesn’t say anywhere about daily work.

So I’m looking at making £19.50 per week for the next 4 weeks? Plus £11 for a survey? Plus the £10.14 I made today?

And I can apply for other projects as well?
