Re: uTest

For Functionality testing you look at the apps/sites themselves not the code.

You work your way through the app, checking links work as they should, checking for crashes etc.
It varies depending on the brief.

Lynnie, I looked at things that needed me to perform an action - and checked if it worked out the way I expected. Has your deadline passed? Could you try that with some of the more user-participation areas? I also went a looked for really old stuff on the site to see if the links still worked. Found another one there too.

I love this site, it's so friendly, thanks for your help Vistamar and I would also like to publicly thank Spike241 for helping me too. I can think of other sites where we would be seen as rivals, but here everyone is so helpful and actively tries to get everyone to succeed - that's fantastic!

I will have a look thanks! I did do coding at collage but it was around 20 years ago and very much out of date so not something I am very much into but I do still enjoy my computer related sites. I do a lot of usability testing sites and this sounds a little on the same line so worth a scan as I really enjoy them.

Which other usability sites do you use? Any that haven't been mentioned on TMS yet? Thanks

Hey Pheebs! How did you get on? I get my Sandbox result this week and then I hope things start moving. There isn't anything on Paid Projects I can apply for.

Re: uTest

I just got my first paid project approved (£1.14 - woo!), and my sandbox results were OK, so hopefully I'm on the road to something.

Re: uTest

I'm guessing that was a BFV test case then?

They don't payout much but they only take a few minutes and they do add up :)

Hey there!

I had three bugs accepted on the paid one, which also earned me a tasty bonus amount! I've finished the sandbox now, and had another email for a paid test but it was already full when I opened the message!

How are you getting on?

Re: uTest

What date was your sandbox? I still haven't heard anything despite two bugs accepted Nd being told I'd be emailed this week. I've had an email from Appen to do their assessment so I'm going to go for that and if it comes through before Utest I'll give Appen a go.

Re: uTest

I had a decent day yesterday with 2 exceptional and one very bug approved :) $52 + a 2.5% bonus.
I still don't think I'll get anywhere near as much as the last 2 months but I'll just have to wait and see.

Re: uTest

It's the default message when you don't have any active cycles, from what I remember.

Invites depend on what devices/OSes you have listed in your profile, location etc and rating.

Re: uTest

I signed up a week ago and haven't heard about the sandbox test yet. Hopefully it will be soon.

Re: uTest

i signed up today too, i nearly abandoned it just by filling it in, i didn't know what most of it meant even so i put i was a novice at almost everything! what did you guys do at that point? do you all know what they mean or did you just do what i did? I feel confident i could do the bug searching but i'm hoping it doesn't get anymore complicated than the form lol. It's not the practical side just the terminology i think so far at least anyway, any advice would be appreciated. :-\
