From December, if you have a paypal acccount which is not being used for regular transactions, there is £12 a month charge. This applies even if you have funds in the account. If you're not using it, Paypal will deduct the £12 from your funds or directly from your bank.

I've read it's going to be £12 per year if you haven't logged in the previous year. Has that changed then?

The green site also says if the account is empty or balance is negative they won't take the fee.

I think it's £12 a year and it's if your PayPal account has been inactive for at least 12 months.

"The inactive account fee will begin on 16 December 2020 and customers will be charged if they have not logged in or sent, received or withdrawn money for at least 12 consecutive months. But customers can avoid being charged by logging into their PayPal account or making a transaction on or before 15 December."

My old PayPal account had £20 in which they won't put into my bank and they never reply. That account was limited and the bank linked to it I closed it cos I never use that bank.

They really dont know their arse from their elbow. Ive closed the account I had the messages on now but when I enquired they said it was monthly AND the fees still charged unless there are transactions, just logging in or having a balance will not be stop fees being charged
