I was watching This Morning on Friday (I know it's sad but there ya go!) and it had a family on there who had lost £££ by booking on a 'dave's villas' type website that asked for something like £4000 upfront and they paid it without any due diligence and then turned up in the south of France and the place they had 'rented' wasn't even a holiday villa but was someones HOME!!
Do people really fall for this sort of stuff? Like when we book holidays we also look for ABTA symbol and generally to be fair will use companies we know (jet2, Virgin Holidays, Thomas Cook etc) is it a case of people thinking they are getting a fantastic deal and their brains just sort of fall out and before they know it they've sent £4000 over to god knows where!!!?!
Maybe high street travel agents DO have a future after all!!
