Just as a heads up, there would appear to be significant payment issues through People Per Hour at present. A quick look through their social media accounts would indicate that some freelancers have been waiting over a month for money that is already in escrow, and therefore has presumably already passed any money laundering checks (one of their excuses...others are available).

I think I might have to wave goodbye to the £60 they owe me (and the 15 years I've spent building up a profile), but just thought I'd better warn anyone currently working through there or about to start a job for a client.

In fairness, I should say that within the past half hour I have been paid all the outstanding money I'm owed. But it took me replying to EVERY social media post they'd made over the past month to ask why they weren't paying freelancers, starting a new chat every hour on the hour, and asking why they weren't responding to the BBC journalist trying to get in touch with them to ask what's going on.

However, it's also worth noting that there are hundreds of freelancers who haven't been paid in over a month.

This has prompted me to take as many clients as possible off-platform.
