I was about to do the same :) This thread should probably be deleted now.

Never delete, Always keep.

No matter what you think @BooBoo is entitled to post without fear of their posts being deleted or modified in any way

This is what sets TMS apart from the green site, Facebook groups etc which tend to cut threads off at the stalk as soon as someone has a difference of opinion

And for that you have my respect. There are not many places left that allow freedom of speech or that allow differences of opinion to be aired. If I didn’t value this website, I wouldn’t be here, just the same as with Mumsnet.

Note to self: don't go 'undercover' to post on an online forum.

In my day we used to kick a tin can in the street and play jumpers for goalposts :)

Yeah maybe that's where it all went wrong. I should have just been 'Jon' instead of ya know, being transparent and being 'themoneyshed' on there

Jumpers for Goalposts, those were the day!! Thought we used school bags a fair bit as well!

I am a mumsnetter, came here because I enjoyed Jon's content on there. Yes, of course he was plugging some of his links, we're all doing it. It'd have been fine to ask him to stop doing that if it irked people that much. However, the way a very small number of people spoke about him on there was disgusting. Being a mum and needing extra income does not make me 'vulnerable' and Jon never took advantage of it. He offered information and it was up to me whether I took it or not, and whether I choose to go with his links or someone else's.

I think you are being extremely rude, and also feel perplexed at the intensity of your posts. He didn't take food out of the mouth of babies. He simply posted content. Every mumsnetter had the choice of using his links or not. I certainly didn't suddenly start quivering and pee'd my pants because there was a 'man about'. How ridiculous. We are not all in a victim mentality. This has nothing to do with sexism, women being seen as second class, being underhanded or any of the other insults you are throwing about.

Please do not try to speak on behalf of other women. We have our own voices to use, if we feel the need to. As much as you are 'disgusted' by him doing everything wrong in your mind, I am appalled by your post. It is completely misdirected.

Have to agree with that and, sadly, I do wonder if he would have been banned if he were a 'she' and a mum.

I know I'm not a woman or even a mum but as Monty Python once said 'It's my right as a man to be a woman and it's every man's right to have babies if he wants them and anyone who says I can't is oppressing me'.

Is it too soon to joke a little about this thread? If so, I'll accept any subsequent ban :)
