Going down an emotive line with this isn't wise soooo...let's go with some MONEY SHED FACTS regarding this site (not me personally) and how it has helped poeple

Since April 2016 when we first started award prize money for the monthly earnings contest, we have given away £1000 in prize money

On top of that, We have given away over another £2000+ in posting competitions/sweepstakes over the years

The above has all been out of my own pocket. No other site, not MumsNet, not the green site etc. give out as much cash as we do to our forum community posters

The comment someone on the link above to Mumsnet made about having to post 10 times to get a Roamler code has been a 'rule' here since 2015 and it makes people actually contribute to the discussion instead of just posting any old nonsense. Without good moderation, the reality is that Mums who sign up to MLM out of desperation also pray on other Mum communities because that is their target demographic, sadly everyone loses out.

Since the Earnings Challenge has been running over £250,000+ has been earned from our users

Since 2015 people who have promoted their work from home opportunities and updated us with signup stats have made over £10,000+ in signups.

Demographics Wise the forum is more populated by men

While with the blog it's women that use it the most

Now if you think those people are helped based on their sex/gender then you are utterly wrong. The same way we do outreach in the student / disabled / retired communites. They just want help to improve their lives. They don't want MLM, they don't want to be ripped off, they just want easy to access information for earning a lot of money online.

Mumsnet is a community of (mostly) Mums, and it's a FACT that more women stay at home to look after their kids than men.

So connecting with a community such as that where Mums are maybe in distress about feeling they HAVE to work return to work and have no option is a natural fit for a site like that. And over the years help has been provided as I said to hundreds of Mums on there to help improve their lives / give them options. Even recently (which is the busy time of the year for people to make new changes as its the start of a new year) when blog posts for over here have been promoted it's been done in a contextual manner with questions from users being answered along the way.

I said this in another thread, and I think it would be useful if the OP was able to give permission or not for others to use their own referral links in their threads here. I usually don't like to post my referral in a thread started by someone else unless they are ok with it. Seems wrong to me. OP mentioned Prolific - they don't even have a referral scheme, do they?

If you have so much respect for mums and members of Mumsnet, why are you making barbed digs about them all wanting to sign up to Airbonne on Twitter? Making out you only joined in on their money making thread to save them all from themselves.

I have followed the Mumsnet ‘make £10 a day’ threads for over a year and not once have I come across anyone promoting Airbonne or Herbal Life etc. Those threads have been incredibly influential and inspiring and many of us have made changes to our work life balance as a result. We didn’t need a saviour coming in to take over and rescue us all. We were doing very well already.

The issue has nothing to do with your sex. It has everything to do with you running your own money making website and trying to take over ours when you were not asked to.

Prolific used to have a referral scheme but they stopped it last year.

You should ask the folk about the PMs they receive on MN about AMAZING WORK FROM HOME OPPORTUNITIES

Genuine question.

Why is Jon posting links on that website any different to anyone else doing the same thing?

You refer to it as 'ours' but I'm not sure why Jon is supposed to be excluded from that. I have had a quick look around and can't seem to see any rules about males not being allowed to post on there. I also can't see any rules about not being able to post on there if you're running another website with a similar audience.

So, what is it about that website that makes it 'ours'?

As far as I can see, there are only a few potential reasons:

- Jon is a man.
- Some arbitrary financial figure you've assumed about Jon that means he already earns enough.

If Jon has broken rules and received a ban for doing so then that's fine. The rest of it is just meaningless noise. Nobody asked Jon to join and post on the forum, but nobody asked you to either. What's the distinction here? Nobody asked you to post your referral links on TMS but you have been doing it regularly.

Beyond the ban, the rest of this stuff is a witch hunt.

Not interested in pms that Mumsnetters might receive. I personally have never received one and I have been a member for over five years.

So, you decided to jump on the money making thread to protect all those mums from themselves did you? Not once have any MLMs been promoted on that thread and anyone attempting to do so would be given short shrift. There is a whole raft of threads about the perils of MLMs. Mumsnetters are not as pathetic as you seem to think.

'Peril' and 'needing to be Saved' seems to come up a lot in this thread

That isn't how these women (and men on MN) feel you know, they just want help!

help that isn't 50p surveys or endless freetrade links and is infact other ways to earn high amount of income for the time they have available are far more beneficial to them...

That's not opinion, that's FACT

Would Jon like it if that bloke from the green site started posting on Money Shed threads with links to his own website, his blogs, and his referral links? Would you be happy about that? Or would you think it was a bit ‘off’ seeing as he already has his own platform to promote himself?

I should also say I spend all day via email, Twitter, Instgram, Skype helping people earn more money from home. Do they all need saving as well? Or do they just want help?

You are aware that everyone from every site posts their affiliate links on here and it makes not a jot of difference. People come here to promote their systems, websites, blogs.. It's all good!

Mumsnet makes it money via the ads you see around it, not by the links people are clicking within the content

And why does any reference to the green site automatically get autocorrected to ‘The Green Site’? I think answers your question. It is seen as competition and you don’t want it mentioning on here.

I know how MN makes it’s money. The only person earning money from posting links to their blogs was you.

It's not because of competition, it's becuase it was an injoke from 2015 between me and @Chammy which I've never bothered to correct.

It doesn't stop people posting link to Martin Lewis' site.

We promote Profit Accumulator on here yet posts to Oddsmonkey, team proifit, DAVE'S INSTAGRAM MATCHED BETTING GROUP etc are all fine

The thing is, we didn’t ask for your help. We were getting on all fine and dandy for over a year without your help.

Right. You seem to think that every blog post has affiliate links, it's doesn't.. FAR from it

Who earns money from all the freetrade / trading212 etc links that are harvesting on that Mumsnet thread?

The users do.

So no one should post at all on that thread with any new advice / opportunities / guides / general help because everyone is getting on fine and not at all needing new ways to make more money yeah?

You ask the mods of Mumsnet. They chucked you out. People just felt you were taking over and it was not appreciated.

You'd have to ask Jon about that but I would assume it would be fine as long as it worked both ways.

In fact, we had Skint Dad posting on here a few years ago and Jon actively pushed people to ask him questions. Of course, he was here to benefit himself and push his own website but that's fine because his content is useful to users of this forum regardless of that.

What I will say is that this whole us vs them insular idea is not the way to go. I have been earning money from home for over a decade and would not have been able to do that if I'd stuck to one source of information. I've found bits from forums that no longer exist, found TMS through a mutual online job Jon and I had back in 2014, have used the green site plenty of times, and have had direct interactions with people from all these places that have led to more work.

Exclusion for the sake of it serves to help nobody.

Usually if I don’t like something I remove myself from the thing I don’t like. This is a silly thing to be getting all hot under the blouse about.

Jon has been a constant in the years I’ve been a member and I’ve never once felt he was taking advantage for his own pocket.
