    wow!

I remember Phoenix being one of the first MLMs I ever read about

I'm just not sure the world in 2017 is suited for these sort of selling models anymore

I don't think they'll last, at least not here in the UK. Many are being sneaky and miss-selling here, such as unregulated products (Valentus for example).

Apparently Younique has had a lawsuit submitted against them in the last few weeks for miss-selling their mascara.

Maelle had to shut it's doors temporarily due to legal investigations though they're back in December...apparently.

Too many shady dealings, too many people wising up to these scams so I can't see it lasting. Well, maybe Avon as they've been around forever.

Is it not all just basically now

Get person X to sign up for say £50 = recruiter gets kickback

Person X recruits person Z who pays £50 = Person X gets a kickback and prob the original recruiter does as well

The 'products' are just the carrot on the stick to get people to sign up and hand over £50. You could do zero selling and just recruit!

It very much depends on the company. The newer ones such as Younique and Jamberry require you to sell xx amount of product before you can earn from recruiting. You don't get anything just because you signed someone up under you. I never earned from my team in Younique because I didn't sell the right amount each month and I wasn't stupid enough to buy it myself just to bump up my sales. Think I made about £5 from my team on Jamberry.
