Trying to think of interesting things to do with pita breads, since we have a freezer full at the moment (they were reduced!) I've done cheese and onion, cheese and pickle, cheese and baked bean (that worked surprisingly well, actually!) and southern fried chicken & salad so far...

On a budget, obviously, but would love some variety if anyone has any ideas :)

Haha do you really think they were bizarre?! I guess maybe the baked bean one was a little odd...

I haven't thought of many more combinations yet - the other day I sliced them with roasted red pepper dip which is cheating really as it isn't a filling, and I also did some tuna/cucumber/mayo, tuna/cheese melt, tuna/mayo/red onion and tuna/lettuce/mayo/black pepper combinations... Oh, and my OH did cheese and chilli flakes, which he says was nice but I didn't try it :p

Slowly getting through them...!!

Thanks for the update ;D

I think we should all get together and come up with a dare for you.

Then have you record yourself eating it ;)

I jest of coarse although that would be funny, but the funiest thing is that after reading this I went to do our weeks shop and just had to buy some pita bread to see what I could do with it.

I will keep you updated :p

I like to make home made pizza with them. Cook up some chopped tomatos, put them on top of the pita bread, add some cheese and pepperami and whack it in the oven for a bit. So nice

I do enjoy just plain pita bread with nothing in, but if I had to choose, I'd probably have steak and onion in mine :)

Steak and onion is a fab idea... Might do that for OH.

Can't wait for BBQ weather - I love them sliced up with some dip as a starter while OH is doing all the hard work on the BBQ ;)
