Pokerstars instant bonus offers

Not strictly MB but I've now been offered 3 instant $5 bonus on Pokerstars and really don't understand what I'm doing! Can anyone throw any light on it please....

I accepted the first bonus, I thought it said no deposit required and from the T&C's it says the bonus is added onto your balance when you start a slot. You have to earn 10 stars coins in order to convert the bonus to real money.

So I went to one of the games on the eligible list but the bonus wasn't included in my balance. I did a few spins anyway using my own balance, won a bit and lost a bit. The winnings seem to have gone into my $ currency balance and the cashier balance is showing I've earned 3 stars coins.

There is no progress at all showing against the bonus, not even the stars coins. When I went to check the list of eligible games again, it's disappeared.

I've now had 2 more instant bonus offers, I accepted the second one but can't seem to accept the 3rd although it's showing in my bonus list and I have the option to pause or surrender it.

I'm pretty hopeless on the casino side of MB but this one has got me totally stumped. If anyone could explain it to me, I'd be really grateful.
