Hi all, I’ve been trying to make money online for about 3 weeks now.

I’m doing ok with things like...

Prolific - made about £40+
BeMyEye - £50+
Roamler - £30+
CuriousCats - £22+
Qmee - £15+
AttaPoll - £5
MobEye - £7 (don’t think that will be consistent)

Then things like OnePulse and SerpClix are building up slowly.

I’ve applied for LionBridge but they said they will be in touch if anything comes up. I’m on uTest but I’m really struggling with that at the minute, I’ve done one test cycle for £10.19 and then came unstuck.

I can’t do Matched Betting.

What else can I do guys? I’m about to hand my notice in at my full time job due to health reasons and I really need to find a more sustainable earner. The surveys are ok for small amounts that add up eventually, and the task based apps are ok when the work is there and local, but I need something bigger to bring the income in. Please help me, I appreciate it a lot.

Thank you.

Freelancer writing? Data entry? Picking up work off PeoplePerHour?

I've said it before but It sounds like you need something that you can rely on more and also control the income more which tends to lead you down the direction of blogging / creating some kind of online service that fixes a problem etc.

When you say Freelance writing, what do you mean? Who’s going to pay me? Where do I do it? What do I write about?

And I don’t know what Data Entry involves either or how.

I will have a look at Peopleperhour, thank you Jon.

You can offer freelance writing on sites like PeoplePerHour, Fiverr. Companies / Individuals would offer you the chance to write content for them in exchange for money

Thanks but I don’t think those would suit me.
OK well what would suit you then in terms of earning online? Where does you skill set sit? Do you have some crossover skills you could market on Fiverr or something?

I've always been interested in freelance writing but I think that's a long game. You tend to need to build up a repuation somewhere before you get paid anywhere near decenly for your time and effort.

What are you doing on Utest? Do you want to do more testing?

If you haven't done the academy on there it might be an idea to, it's a good way to come to the attention of managers.

What devices do you have ? A fairly recent iPhone and/or Android will get you invited to plenty of cycles. A few older ones (raid ebay or somesuch for cheap working devices) might also come in handy.

Intellizoom can be quite good, if you qualify.

On that note I had a question, where on that site can you see what you have done?

I have done a few tasks for them in the past couple of weeks and there is no sign of payment.

You can't, but I think I'ver been paid for every one. You always get paid after 3 weeks, it seems.

On a general sidenote, I think in the near future there's going to be a LOT more competition for places with people at home looking to earn a bit extra :D

I’m doing the BBC task at the minute, I only managed to download the Beeb app earlier today and then I’ve been out all day, I’m on Week 3 homework. Going to give it a go later. I got accepted for the O2 iPhone task as well but I unclaimed it because it was so confusing. I would do more testing if the instructions were clear and everything worked as it should, which doesn’t seem to be the case on uTest.

I’ve got an iPhone and a Windows 10 PC.

Thanks for everyone’s advice.

They send you an email thanking you for doing the task so you could search for them.

Would you consider a part time job somewhere (say 15-20 hours a week) to help supplement your income, whilst also doing the online stuff in your free time?
It might take some of the pressure off knowing you've got some guaranteed regular cash coming in, then the online stuff is a nice bonus :)

In 2018 I gave up my job because I was earning more through things that I found on here than I was in my paid job. I did get a part time job again when my marriage ended because I missed the social side of work. I need company.

I do the following things:

Audio Typing (Take Note, Scribie, Rev.com and Crowdsurf)

Website testing (Userlytics, UserTesting, UTest, Intellizoom, UserCrowd, PlayTestCloud)

Mobile Apps (Roamler, BeMyEye, Smartspotter, Field Agent, EasyShift, MobEye, GigWalk, VoxPopMe, Shoppix, SnapMyEats)

Mystery Shopping (Market Force, Amber Arch, Tern, Retail Active, Grassroots, ESA)

Market Research (Focus Force, Code 3, People for Research, AngelFish, Ping Pong, Podengo)

Surveys (Prolific, Pollpass, One Pulse, Citizen Me, Opinium Research, Curious Cat, Qmee)

Other Things (Clickworker, Neevo, Appen, Lionbridge, TeePublic, FaceBook selling, eBay)

There are probably other things as well. You need to diversify and have as many eggs as you can in the basket. You also need to be patient. It took me over a year and many 60+ hour weeks of work to get to this point.

Thank you so much for that there is a lot of info there for me to look at tomorrow. Bless you!

On the plus side.. jobs finally appeared on Shepper last night and I love how you can book as many as you want. I made £30 today and £8 on BeMyEye, I’ve got 8 tasks booked for tomorrow on Shepper so that will be another £40 and it was so easy!

Anyone know how long it takes MobEye to check submissions? I’ve been waiting days for them to approve the last ones I did. I’m sceptical about them because I’m on £6.70 at the min so I only need 30p to go over the £7 to be able to cash out and surprise surprise they’re not in any rush to validate the submissions!

Anything up to a week. They’re probably really busy at the moment. I’ve never had any issues with them and I don’t think any other forum members have either. I’ve cashed out 6 times in the past year so they’re legit!
