I don't have any proofreading experience, but I am that person who actually winces every time I see someone with the wrong "there" or amusing mistakes in their website blogs etc (yes I am even looking at you @Jon ).

I would love to earn a bit of cash proofreading people's websites/articles online. Is there actually any way to do this that anyone knows of? I know there are automated tools for spelling/grammar etc, but the reality is that they often correct the word, but it isn't the right word. It never seems to quite substitute a human :)

I've asked this before as I would like to do it too. I wanted to know if there was a site that would pay me to proofread without me having any experience, like Neevo for example. Instead of me trying to sell the service on Fiverr. Good luck.

I went through a stage of making polite direct approaches along the lines of "I visited your site to buy something/check information etc. and couldn't help noticing that..." which worked quite well. Haven't done it for a while. Should start again. I have no formal qualification either, but plenty of casual experience.

Would anyone be able to help me with the Textranch test please? This is the test below and I will write my answers underneath. If you could tell me what you think before I submit it that would be great, thanks. I have to correct the sentences with fluent English but I'm not sure if I'm rewording them too much.

1. Him and myself use to be in a band and it was to nosy.
Me and him used to be in a band but it was too noisy.
(I don't know whether I should just say "We used to be..")

2. he should of payed u and i for the work we done cos it got done very quick
He should have paid us for the work that we did because we did it very quickly.

3. The teacher's graded all of they're students papers
The teachers graded all of their students' papers.

4. Man that owns less then 6 cars can't be concidered a expert.
A man that owns less than six cars can't be considered an expert.
(Not sure if it matters if I say can't or cannot)

5. Bethanny was not satisfied with her swimming performance that day.
This one is correct.

6. When i open the Calendar and go to "My Team" logged in as lisa.jon user, the appointments of my subordinates have shown without the subject
When I open the calendar and go to "My Team", logged in as "lisa.jon user", my subordinates' appointments have shown without the subject.
(Not sure about this one)

7. Your the expert can you tell me who should i address this too.
You're the expert, can you tell me who I should address this to?

8. Everyone has a story to say
Everyone has a story to tell.

9. I excepted what she said at the face value because its true that a horse cant change its stripes
I accepted what she said at face value because it's true that a horse cannot change its stripes.
(Not sure if they want me to change the horse haha to a zebra or something?)

10. Today is a beautiful day.
This is correct.

Thanks for any help. I applied for this a couple of months back and didn't hear anything back so I must have failed. I really want to pass.

1. Him and I used to be in a band and it was too noisy.
3. The teachers graded all of their students' papers. (i'm not sure you need an apostrophe at the end of students ???)

I can't see any glaring errors in the rest, but I'm not a professional.

Would it not be “He and I”?

And I‘m pretty sure there is meant to be an apostrophe.

It quite possibly could be "He and I" !. I'd run it through Grammarly and see what it suggests.

It's definitely 'He and I'. And I would have gone with 'cannot' because it just sounds better.

I think I went with "We used to" in the end. Not expecting to hear back from them to be honest.
