Question about Cashback Sites

Hi,

Might be a really obvious question, I am wish Quidco and Topcashback and my cash back purchases have been tracked. However, I dont understand when they become payable or if the cashback needs to get to a certain amount to be payable. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about quidco but on topcashback if you go into your account you can see what is pending for you and if you click the + symbol it tells you how many weeks you have to wait for your money to come through

They generally take months to become payable. I think when I ordered from George via Quidco it took about 3 months. I prefer TCBs layout as it shows 'faster paying' which can still take a while (10 weeks on TCB). Basically they have to wait ages just in case you return anything which would reduce the amount you should receive.

Each retailer page should list the average waiting time but they can take a little longer - as Jon says, there' a + symbol (https://www.topcashback.co.uk/account/earnings/) which shows how long you should have to wait.

TCB won't email to say you've got payable money but keep an eye out for a green circle with a 1 in it next to 'My Dashboard' as this either means money has moved to payable or they want a review left (I never bother). With Quidco you need a minimum of £1 to cashout. TCB is any amount (I think).

I've only got Quidco so can only tell you about them. After a purchase has been tracked it can take months. Just had confirmation from Quidco about a Christmas present I bought in December. Quidco will send an email once an amount is ready to be paid and the minimum is £1. Cashback Payment once confirmed is within days into your bank account and Quidco keep you updated by email.

They also do occasional games which payout straight away; I've won £43 on a pairs game, £6 in a Xmas game and £10 in a recent May madness raffle.

I think they do put an estimate about how long a payment should take but I never take any notice as it usually takes longer on purchases.

Unsure that Falanouc is right about TCB not contacting you about payments. I seem to remember getting emails from them to either say that there is a new payment in my account, or advising me to check my account.

It may depend on how you have your notifications set up though, so worth checking.

Always look to see that your initial purchase has tracked and is progressing successfully. If it doesn't then you can put in a query/claim after so many days.

I've just checked my email preferences and subscribed to all. I do receive emails when I've made a purchase and it's added to the account but nothing when the payment changes from confirmed to payable. I do then get an email after requesting the payment that it's on the way to the bank.

With TCB you also need to remember to login at least once every 6 months I think.

Good point @Falanouc , yes you do have to log in every 6 months. Watch out for any free trials or upgrades to a Plus account as you used to have to remember to opt out afterwards, otherwise you remained on it and had to pay £5 per year (and it was tricky to do this after a certain period).

Just checked my email preferences and they are all 'unsubscribed' apart from:

Transaction Notification Email: subscribed
Notifications of any new transactions credited to your account

Service Emails: subscribed
which includes password resets, pay-out request confirmations and updates to your support tickets
