Ever since I started working for myself it's been on a freelance, self-employed basis and I pay my own Class 2 NI. I have recently been offered an opportunity through a friend of a friend's husband who runs one of the smaller mystery shopping companies auditing the reports their shoppers produce before sending them on to customers - checking for spelling, grammar, sentence structure etc. Work from home, fully flexible - sounds great!
Only question is that they have asked me to fill in a P46 so they can put me on the payroll. I very much doubt I'll be earning £110 a week with them or whatever the threshold is for Class 1 NI, and probably won't be taxed either. So do I just keep all payslips and details from them and whack it all on my tax return at the end of the year?
