Inspired by a post I've seen on here, I thought "Why not ask people to rate their attempts at various money-making ideas?" I believe it could be helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff, or at least in helping people find what may be most suitable for them.

I'll start:

1. CRISP - 8/10. It can be a bit tedious, but this is by far and away the most lucrative attempt for me. The pay's been good for online work, and importantly there is almost always at least some work.
2. Operador - 6.5/10. Pay is pretty good, but more demanding than CRISP, and the specific hoops to jump through (in the form of weekly mins) is a bit off-putting. I did have fun creating roofer women who knock back absinthe and enjoy BASE jumping, though. HR were generally good, but I left on a sour note after a payment apparently vanished, meaning I never got paid for £80's worth of work.
3. AQA 63336 - 7/10. High standards, decent and consistent pay. Better when I started in 2015—I earned £208 within 10 days—but work went a bit thin as I left in 2018. Don't know what it's like now.
4. Dropshipping 5/10. Found it hard to make more than a scant profit with the eBay competition around. YMMV
5. Matched betting 9/10. I did most of the sign up offers about 6-7 years ago and it was a great way of making free money.

Yeah, only Crisp has truly compared.

I liked the vibe at 63336, but the supervisors sure knew how to keep you on your toes...

Basically, companies hire Crisp to monitor social media posts associated with them. It's our job to highlight any problematic posts - things like terrorist threats, suicidal people, ethical criticism etc.

I remember the days when we used to get LOADS of work when they advertised during Geordie Shore etc...

I work full time and just use the apps as a bit of extra money, here's my view of things

Surveys 1/10, lose interest low pay
Redwigwam 8/10, choose the ones that suit me, online shops buy and review decent pay next day.
Roamer 7/10, lowish pay unless you hold out and travel, also need to see what the tasks entail some really aren't worth it.

Saturdays were great "What's the lottery numbers?" :ROFLMAO:
also when BGT or Xfactor ran competitions the text number was always 1 digit off ours so we would get a boatload of Questions with just 1 letter in them which we could send a stock reply back to

happy good times GIF by Equal Parts Studio

Appen - 7/10, if you can get on a long-term project then this can be a good source of income. However, the wait can be long and projects can end abruptly. The support isn't great and chat is a mixed bag.
Crisp - 6/10, there is generally always some work available. However, the waiting list is long after passing the initial test, I waited over 18 months. Also, the amount of work is often quite low which means that instead of making between 6-10 pounds an hour, the rate can fall much much lower to a point it's just not worth your time.
Prolific - 8/10, simple and best survey site. Most surveys have a good pay rate. Due to this though, it's a very popular site and if you don't jump on the surveys when they appear, they are full very quickly.

As if to prove my point, I've just been called into a quality audit, while they do this, I can't work. This is despite passing every monthly quality audit since I started on it over a year and a half ago! Fingers crossed it all goes well but once again shows the precarious nature of this type of work.

A quality audit? What's that? I know some people on a job I'm doing have received an email about their ratings. I was expecting one, being new to it. Is that the same thing?

Prolific is my favourite survey site
Passive Income wise - Ipsos iris orange Mori data monitoring thing I have downloaded onto my laptop and phone has given me some great free rewards
Matched Betting - made nearly £2K in a year, and also done well with the odd mistake which has turned out good
Cryptocurrency and Stocks and Shares - this has been my latest venture over lockdown and I have found it an interesting education to say the least!....Some sites like Coinbase you can earn some free crypto just by signing up and watching a few videos and doing a quiz at the end. I would say that you do need to spend time to educate yourself in this, and always remember if investing in high risk assets ONLY INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. I have learnt loads off YouTube on this subject and this year I have found I have switched from TV to YouTube for both entertainment and information. Both Crypto and the Stock markets have just been through a crash, so now would be the time to buy the dip in the hope that the markets will go up.
FaceBook Market Place - this is my new alternative to Ebay. I have now dumped Ebay for this free method of advertising my unwanted stuff and have made a few nice sells.

I'm 'this close' to dumping ebay as well, especially since I've been forced onto their new system. I'm keeping an eye on FB Marketplace as an alternative.

I've just joined Reverr, not heard much about it on this site. It's basically transcribing and they have two editors, a Line editor where a bare bones transcript is provided that you have to edit, and a traditional blank editor where you type up everything you hear. It's decent pay - up to £1.41 per minute, just need to stay within their quality levels. You can also qualify for a Reverr ++ which is better paid and less quality audits as well.
