Reality Mine

Hi. Has anyone heard of something called Reality Mine? It is through Panelbase, and is an app which you put on your phone and they say you get £3 a month for letting it run in the background, watching what you are doing. The Ts and Cs say they abide by the data protection act and that it is safe. I just wondered if it is, as they would be able to see your banking activity and that makes me think, is it worth the risk for £3 a month? Perhaps I have answered my own question.

I usually don't think it is worth it for whatever money they are paying a month. If something goes wrong, it is likely to be more costly. There are plenty of stuff to earn £3 a month anyway!

As well as it not being worth it money wise, when I did try something similar, it hammered my battery, so I took it off after a couple of days - there's no point having a phone if it's dead every time that you need to use it.

I also tried putting one on my laptop years ago and it slowed it to a crawl, so that came off too, followed by a 'polite' call from the company asking me why I had removed it. Because your software b*ggered up my laptop, that's why!

Maybe things have changed in recent years, but I steer well clear now too.
