Hello,

I hope everyone’s well! Sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked elsewhere but I’m not quite sure what I’m doing with this blogging malarky. I currently self-host a WordPress blog that’s fairly basic (www.invisiblyme.com) I use ads but haven’t made any money from it, though that’s perhaps not too surprising.

I signed up for a first year introductory rate with InMotionHosting, which was about £35 I think. The time has come to decide whether to renew this next month, change provider or call it a day. I’d like to keep going, but the renewal price is far too high for me to afford at over £100.

My question is - can you simply not renew and chose another provider on the day the InMotionHosting runs out? If so, can I use another introductory rate with another company without losing anything I’ve done with my blog? I assume the answers are all yes, but I want to make sure I don’t make any mistakes. I’m also not sure who to go with as I want the cheapest option ideally as I can’t afford or justify spending much more. Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thank you :)

Yes you are correct

nothing is stopping you from just moving over to Vidahost or whoever (where you can use JUSTASK at the basket and get 20% off) and then porting your domain over to them
