Interesting read / idead

What about VHS recorders?

Big bigmoney in selling those! But they don't sell well via facebook for some reason. They go for mad prices on eBay though. Especially if they're from a decent brand. Sane with walkmans and discmans as well. I've got a stack of video players waiting to go on eBay but want to make sure I have the right insurance in place first just in case one of them kills someone!

if it's in working condition I would actually buy it. It'll have value to someone! :)

Christ on a bike! I've just searched for it on ebay and the same model has recently sold for £155.00 !!

I will have to hunt out an old TV aerial cable to test if it works. Assuming I can tune my TV to find it.

Thanks for highlighting this Andrew.

I found (about 10 years ago) that CRT TVs went for £15-20 with a remote control, at the local car boots.

I’d not want to be running a business involving selling TVs online as the cost/pain/storage of them would be a pain.

Even if it doesn't work with a 155 price for a working one I bet you can get 50 - 60 for one listed as spares and repairs!

Yeah storage is an issue so I only flip a couple a week. But if I go into reselling in a big way then a van and a lockup will be on my shopping list!

Nope I suppose the only issue is if you live in a remote city you may struggle as you are only advertising to local folk

My catchment area is only 250,000 :-( And there's a couple of dozen of them who already have one of my tvs :-( So I'm hoping some of my former customers will be looking for upgrades in the future!
