I'm an avid user of revolut but I don't use it as my main account, more as an intermediary account as I live abroad and have regular multicurrency transactions. I mainly use it for currency exchanges as I change money from CHF to GBP regularly. I have the basic package (because I don't like paying for banking services!) but I have friends on the paid packages. In my experience, I've found I get the best exchange rates with zero fees with Revolut, except for the weekends, and as long as I don't exchange more than £5000 in a month.

I have tried them all, Revolut, Currencyfair, Transferwise, Banks, Post Office etc...

They do have a bad rep in the way that they're run though

feel free to use my referral: Free Revolut Mastercard (and virtual Visa)

Hi all,

Revolut is now giving away £10 each to referrers and anyone that joins, tops up their account and orders a card.
The card is really useful, particularly when travelling as they don't charge conversion fees and offer good conversion rates.
Also has a good, easy-to-use app to manage your banking.

Use my link to get the £10 bonus: https://revolut.com/referral/minhaadub6!G10D21

Thank you if you use it.
Good luck!

Strongly recommend Revolut: really nice, minimalist app interface; generally offers the most competitive rates for fX (weekends aside) to help you save on holiday spend or sending money overseas; and option for some really good savings with the cashback from its new "Perks", which has helped me save on sall sorts - from smaller everyday purchases like coffee to holiday costs like rail fare, and hotels. App-y days

For this limited time (until 27 Sept), get £10 for signing up with a referral link and using the debit card once.

Full disclosure - there'll be a little something for me in this too if you're feeling kind enough to use my link: https://revolut.com/referral/edwardq8w!G10D21

Thank you

Can I just check with more experienced Revolut users - if I want to spend some EUR in Spain, the easiest way to do this is to load like £100 on my Revolut card using another debit card, and just tap (aka contactless payment using) my Revolut card like normal while I'm in Spain?

What if I want to withdraw EUR? Do I pay for this?

Also, my referral link if anyone would be so kind :) https://revolut.com/referral/rukayaxgwa!G10D21

Hi,

Correct, top up £100 on Revolut and exchange to EUR via the app then spend in store using the revolut card. There is a monthly ATM withdrawal limit, for basic Revolut customers I think it is £200 and then there is a 2% fee for withdrawals after that: https://www.revolut.com/help/transaction-issues/atm-withdrawals/why-have-i-been-charged-for-cash-withdrawal.
