well done on your etsy store, i've had a look and its very good.
How many intellizoom studies you getting i haven't had one for months

Thanks mate!

I get quite a few invites per week to be fair, I don’t always get accepted for them though. Have you done the practice study? What about your interests and stuff on your profile? Maybe add more to that?

I've enjoyed reading how you are getting on. Good luck for the rest of the month! Etsy seems to be a good platform at the moment but I've heard the fees aren't great.

I think they’re ok to be fair. You can see my fees a bit further up on the pic. I sell a print for £8 and I probably get charged £1 fees roughly. It’s ok.
nice one, do you do the printing using a normal home printer?

Yeah mate. I was using my parent’s printer which was probably about £100, but it wasn’t any good. Then my cousin had one which he only paid like £30 for and I tried it on his and they were coming out great, I tried getting the same model but think it had been discontinued so I ended up getting a newer model of his for £60 and it’s amazing.

What printer is it Rich? I need to get a new one.

@rich110991, looking at your Etsy store, are you ok with superheroes names in your designs?

Those designs must take ages to make, it's great reading your progress so far.

Excellent, so all your current designs are art prints?
Have you thought about expanding into offering digital downloads?

Haven’t been doing much lately folks. Just doing the usual Lionbridge ads and my pictures. Did a couple of Uber deliveries today for £8+. Someone just ordered 10 pictures on Etsy in one go! So today I’ve made over £100.

Can’t believe it. £384 so far this month on Etsy.

Hi Rich is that £384 turnover in Etsy? What's your profit per item once fees and printing costs etc are taken into consideration?

That's the sales. I sell them for £8 each (most of them).

Ink - roughly £7 but it lasts a while.

Paper - 27p each roughly.
Envelope - 21p each roughly.
Postage - £1.15 usually.
Fees - I think Etsy takes roughly around 60p.

I'd say it's about £5/£6 profit per sale. I'm not sure how much I can push the £8 sale price at the minute, might try and up it to £8.50 soon, I have seen people selling them for over £10 though. I'm also working on making some original wellies too so that I can charge a bit extra for it being unique.
I really think you've found a great niche for yourself with the money you are making! HMV doesn't even make those sort of margins on DVDs, CDs etc

success! nice one.
Can you advertise these, facebook ads or something? Just a thought, nothing I've done my self

I tried it mate but it's not doing much good on Facebook. Sold a few to people I know on there though.

Canon Pixma Mg5750. The compatible ink is only £7 on ebay too and it’s just the same because I’ve tried the compatible and the proper one.

Hi Rich, how have you found the longevity of the ink cartridges? How many prints would you estimate you get from them?

Looking for a cost effective home print setup myself.

eBay and Facebook primarily in the first instance, then move to one of the higher market store like Etsy or NOTHS.

Selling Word Art prints that would just be eternally easier if I could do the bulk myself.

I'll give the Canon a looking at, just reading reviews on it at the moment.

Have you looked at selling on Amazon, Rich? I have been looking into it as for years I thought you had to be a trader, have loads of stuff and a store but turns out you can sell as an individual with a lower number of items

Thank you. Basically there’s a site where you buy the images of the wellies from, lots of people are doing the same thing but then it’s up to you how you put the picture together so you can kind of make it your own. I’m working on a football version with football shirts which I am designing myself from scratch :)

What website is it if you don't mind me asking?

It’s called Corner Croft mate.
I've looked at Cornercroft, it sounds like you can make physical products to sell but not digital downloads (printables) unless you buy an extended commercial licence.

I’m not anymore mate. A while ago I checked it and it was when I had had like 30+ sales, and it was saying only 6 of them were due to the ads, so I stopped paying for it. I was paying $1 per day.
You know it's really good that you tracked the return on advertising. It's VERY easy to end up throwing money at advertising but if the returns aren't there then it's either time for more A/B testing or accepting that advertising on that platform is a waste of your money and look at other ways of doing it

Have you considered using bloggers at all? Send out free prints to people for them to review on their blog and in turn link back to your store? At some point, either sooner or later you will have to speculate to accumulate if you want your little treasure trove business to grow!
