Oops, I forgot to report back in on my zap-fest
Here are the results:

Ziffit - £88.02
We Buy Books - £74.32
Music Magpie - £67.00

Ziffit accepted all my books while We Buy Books and Music Magpie didn't.
So I will be going with Ziffit. I was hoping to get a 10% or 15% extra code so I messaged them. They replied that they do not have any codes at the moment. So I will wait a bit longer as I think they will send a code out by Easter. I'm in no rush as these books have been hanging around for a while.

I could get an extra 10% in 24 hours bonus if I use their website but I don't fancy entering in all the ISBN numbers by hand. I want to use the app and zap and be done.

Be careful with waiting the prices they pay and their willingness to take titles change daily!

Not quite 10% but if you want to use my refer a friend code you'll get an extra fiver. Saves you waiting and potentially losing some of the value of your trade. It's CMSCOSHAX if you'd like to use it.

Thanks for the advice Andrew :)
I took it and entered in the ISBN numbers by hand. Took a while but it is done.
It was interesting to check the prices offered. Some of the books had increased in price quite considerably and some had decreased a little bit. In the end it all worked out much the same. So I got my 10% extra bonus and the boxes of books will be collected shortly.

Thanks for the offer BreeziOG.
I took Andrews advice and entered the books by hand in the 24 hour 10% extra bonus offer. Hopefully someone else will see you referral code and use it :)

Naughty Ziffit
Here is what happened when I sent off my books. All of these books were in excellent condition and I was a bit wary of sending so many books in good condition into the blue, so I photographed all of them. Just as well I did. It is only £6.96 but if one book is taken from every box someone sends them, then it will add up quickly to their benefit not mine. I've decided to show you the email trail rather than try to paraphrase everything. Enjoy the read :)

Dear Ziffit,
I have just received payment for books that I sent to you reference number ***.
There appears to be a problem with one of the books and I have not been paid for it. This book is, Mcgee, Harold - McGee on Food and Cooking: An Encyclopedia of Kitchen Science, History and Culture. ISBN 9780340831496. It was valued by Ziffit at £6.96.

Please could you let me know what the problem was with this book and why I was not paid for it? Thanks.

Dear Ziffit Support,

I think you have made a mistake and I am giving you a chance to correct it. The book in question, Mcgee, Harold - McGee on Food and Cooking: An Encyclopedia of Kitchen Science, History and Culture. ISBN 9780340831496, was originally bought by myself from Amazon on 19th March 2016 and has sat beside me on a shelf in my home office since then. There has never been any contact with “water damage or mould” and certainly no “kind of tea or coffee staining, browning or visible mould spots, foxing and distorting to the cover or pages due to recent or past exposure to moisture”.

I would like you to send me some photographs of this alleged damage as when I packed the box all books were in excellent condition. I photographed the front and back covers of each book sent as well as the inside of some that contained CD’s and one that had an unscratched silver panel of scratch off ink similar to a lottery ticket as I never needed to use the link contained underneath it.

As I have said, I think there has been a mistake and I look forward to hearing from you very soon confirming this and paying me the agreed price for the book.

Hey guys,

I'm an avid reader and have a lot of books that are in a decent condition that I would like to sell on. When I look at the 'official' book reselling sites they are only worth a couple of pence. Has anyone sold books on any other platform and gotten a decent amount for them?

Thanks!
ive sold quite a few books through gumtree. its free to advertise and you dont have to pay any fees. happy days

I just used Ziffit for the first time, thankfully I didn't have any problem but sounds like they tried to scam you. Well done on challenging them. The cost of shipping books out individually to buyers and paying the platform fees and dealing with returns/complaints means that for me selling to sites like Ziffit makes the most sense. I'd rather take a little less than have headache later on.
