Now I used to do this many, MANY years ago and it all went belly up for me.

Basically I was selling Playstation 3 'Save Game' files so you could just copy them to your PS3 and you would unlock everything in the game. Managed to do it for probably 6 months and made a killing as I was selling the same item over email for £1.99 over and over again each day and I must have had about 20 different game files listed!

However, one too many Mums complained on ebay thinking they had bought a whole new ps3 game for £1.99 and ebay shut my empire down!

The other downside was that I was doing it all manually so I would have to email out the files myself.

Why do I mention all this well in the last week I've bought myself a 7 day SkySports pass for NowTV and so went on ebay to buy them as they are much cheaper. Code comes to my email INSTANTLY and everything is automated.

So last night I did some digging and found the site they are using is http://www.keysender.co.uk

It seems to provide the entire back office system for you (the first 100 codes you send out are free as well by the looks of it!)

Perhaps another revenue stream for you @Andrew

I didn't think Ebay Allowed digital codes to be sold via its platform?

OK well you go search for Now TV Sports / Now TV Entertainment etc and take a look and tell me they aren't all digital codes!

That Keysender must be doing nothing BUT providing the backoffice for people selling digital codes.

When you get the email with the code it actually comes from a @keysender address, not from the ebay person you bought it from

It used to be you had to have a physical item sent, otherwise you could instigate a charge back each time to say no item received and the seller would be left out of pocket.

I used to sell my unwanted steam / promo / cd-keys, PSN keys i bought cheaper, but ihave stopped there are so many scam buyers.

Once i got the code bought from a hacked account I already sent the code when they took the money back, and there is no way you can prove to them that the kays has been or has not been used.

Buying keys are ok, but won't be selling them anymore.

Does this keysender site make any of that more viable do you think?

I am not really sure, it looks it just help you a lot with the process itself but does not give you any kind of guarantee.

I'd probably set a rule on who can buy from me like 25 positive at least, and no unpaid item cases in past 3 months.

And only sell lower value keys nothing more than 20 quid in case of loss I wouldn't lose a lot.

Because of eBay and PayPal policies the buyer is always right and you can only prove that you have sent a key (which could be fake or real doesn't matter) unless you can go into deep detail and get solid proof from the company where and when the key has been used, which is probably more pain than what it's worth.

I've considered doing this before but it's too much risk via ebay because people claim they've not received the item. But I see you can sell them on Amazon as well so I might look into that.

Sorry for being dumb but how does that make the whole thing worse?

Because people will use the codes and then claim that they'don't work to get their money back. The sellers will end up out of pocket.

Because PayPal will now protect scammers even more, leaving seller with huge losses.
You can claim that
1.) You did not get the code if it was sent in a message
2.) That it did not work

I’ve just bought another digital code off eBay and I guess to stop people claiming against the seller. Had to fill in a quick 2 question for before I got the code confirming my eBay Id and the fact I agreed I was being given a code and not a physical item

That is an off-ebay site? I'm not sure how ebay would handle using that as 'proof'.

I sold Amazon codes once. Person bought them, I sent them, they used them, then they claimed their page had been hacked. I was forced to refund and lost out on my codes AND the money.

Same as above, I would buy but never sell!
