I have my first Whatnot show set up to go live tonight at 7.30pm. I will be selling silver coins and bullion so if you are interested in investing in some cheap silver, come along and support me. Or even if not, come along anyway to watch me bumble my way through my first show.

If you sign up by my link you will get a £10 coupon to spend on whatnot. https://whatnot.com/invite/stacksmart
You still get the £10 even if you miss the show so it is still worth signing up for.

In case you don't know about Whatnot it is a live shopping app where people can buy and sell things through live video streams - think of it like QVC meets Twitch. You watch live video streams where sellers showcase products in real-time. The items are sold through live auctions (you bid against others) or at fixed "Buy Now" prices and you can text chat with the seller and other viewers during the stream. This makes it like a community rather than just another selling app like vinted.

The most popular products being sold by people at the moment seem to be trainers pokemon cards, funkopops and labubus and also coins and bullion, hence my attempt at that category this evening. If you are already a member you can find my show here. https://www.whatnot.com/live/58dfed5b-3bdc-4a67-a0fb-071fa7c19d4a. I will be giving away some prizes so come along and see what I have.

Wish me luck. And I will report back after the event to recount what it was like and if it seems worth it.

My first Whatnot show went really well. Everything sold apart from 3 things which eventually sold when I did another show a few days later. It can definitely be a bit stressful and you do need to grow an extra three pairs of arms to make everything run smoothly (or have a second person to help you) I think you have to be selling the right things though. I sold silver coins which there is a very big market for on there at the moment. Pokémon cards and sports trading cards are also popular. Clothes and trainers and toys usually get a big following too. But it has to be decent. Random junk like you find at a boot sale won't sell well so it's probably not a good place for clearing that. Fees are in line with other platforms - around 10% in total although it varies depending on category and the final price.

You can keep a shop on your profile page too so even if you are not live streaming people can still have the option to buy something from your shop at a fixed price.

I don't have any more shows scheduled for the moment but you can still join and get a £10 coupon to spend anywhere on the site with my link https://whatnot.com/invite/stacksmart

Also, if you want to have a go at selling, if you use this link Whatnot will match your first £150 of sales as a cash bonus on the sales made within your first 7 days. https://www.whatnot.com/invite/seller/stacksmart
