Just wondering what you more experienced people do with keeping your earnings separate from your normal bank account for matched betting? I was thinking about opening a basic bank account with a different bank to my normal one (so i don't accidentally bet the council tax bill or something!) but is there a better way to do it?

Thats what I do and it seems to work. I use the Co-op as you get a card, online banking and the app. The app's really helpful for constantly checking the balance! Once you get more money going in and out a lot of MB's use paypal or skrill as well. You can't use these for opening offers but they're handy for cutting the time your money's tied up.

Yes, a separate bank account is the way to go - once you get going with it and have several bookies accounts then you will have money zipping in and out all over the place so its much easier to keep track if you have a dedicated bank account.

Also, I've read that it doesn't look great on your bank account if you're going for a mortgage with that bank - having all the money going in and out of bookies. I used my old student account which I hadn't touched in a few years.

It's advantageous to have online banking set up so you can see when money enters your account.

Thanks for your help, I'll have a look into these when I get a mo. Once set up I'll have a go at MB, the free vids I've seen online have given me an idea of what happens, now just to get it right...!

Well I've opened one up now, just waiting for all the paperwork to go through etc. Then I can get going!
While I'm waiting I've been reading who you seem to use for odds info, who's best for beginners and so on. It seems a lot of you use Profit Accumulator, any reason why them over Oddsmonkey? Or are they both pretty similar? Thanks.

Profit Accumulator have the largest community on their forum which is a MAJOR plus when you need help or assistance with anything

That and I just find the whole service great value for money as you are making £800+ a month a £20 or whatever subscription cost doesn't really become an issue

I use a FFREES account for matched betting. It is sort of a cross between a bank and a prepaid debit card. I opened the account online, everything was verified electronically and the debit card was with me within two or three days.

I am currently in the process of opening a separate bank account for MB before I start. I did look at FFREES, but a bit concerned that they are not a member of FSCS who protect your money should the bank fail.
