@Ar_ and @fraserbooks I've set up this thread to help us get AdSense sorted on our blogs!
I finally got approved for AdSense, but I found the ads were being dumped all over my blog in places I didn't want them. I found out you can change this in your AdSense account by going to MyAds > Auto ads.
In terms of making the ads appear in the first place, using Advanced Ads, you need to go to settings > AdSense tab and tick the box that says "Insert the AdSense header code used for verification and the Auto Ads feature." This triggers the auto ads, but once you turn them off in Google it seems to stop them again. I tried turning this box off, but then I lost the ad that I actually did want to have!
