Silly Question about Matching Betting

I have decided to take the plunge and have another go at matched betting and have signed up with Oddsmonkey. My aim is to do the easy ones. I did the MoPlay offer whereby you do a £10 bet, plus a laybet with Betfair and then get two free £15 bets. I have used the oddsmatcher calculator and other calculator and done two bets. One of them was for the Nuremberg game and the lay bet was 4.8 (was advised in the offer to do 5 or above to maximise profit), but a bit too scared. I needed a liability of 57 for this bet and 19 for the other one that I did. My balance doesn't include the liability, hence the liability has been taken out. My fear is that I will lose the liability sum if the bet loses, even though I only laid £15 so it was the same as the free bets. Please could someone reassure me that I'm not going to lose my liability money. I have done this before once somehow and never really understood it properly. Thanks

Just remember you are betting 'for' something at the bookie and 'against' the same thing at the exchange.

If you lose your liability at the exchange, you will have had a corresponding win at the bookie. Unless you have a big bankroll you will need to withdraw the winnings from the bookie in that case, and that this can be why it can be a bit slow at the beginning of MB as you have the delay before funds are available again.
