Earnings for January were pretty poor, so I'll update them when I have February too. Very exiting news, I got a 'tweet' from a BBC researcher yesterday, so I got in touch and they want to do an interview about my youtube money earning. The BBC are coming to my house on Friday, it's uber exiting and scary at the same time. The best thing is that they got in touch via this site, The Money Shed, - how cool is that, thanks Jon ;D

WELL. Seems to be 16 months since I last posted, where did time go? I've been busy with new job, new bloke, kids, new friends, home improvements, youtubing, selling wardrobes and that's about it really.
Youtube has been a difficult thing to keep going, the competition gets every more difficult to keep up with, the sheer volume uploaded to Youtube just dilutes the income for all. Any how, even though I didn't load much last year I received an adsense income of £6476.94, I've been busy uploading more stuff this year, and the income is rising again now. 123greetings has also proved a steady income, getting over £100 a month usually. I also spent a bit of money on some new branding for youtube, which I love, see what you think? https://www.youtube.com/user/GreatBirthdayIdeas

The TV think mentioned above did happen, the BBC came and filmed me in my living room, and we talked about Youtube and making money on line, I don't think it really made much difference to my traffic, it was daytime TV, my uncle was the only person who mentioned they saw me lol

August update, I've been making vides like madness the last month, views have gone from 900,000 a month to 1.3 million in a few months, I'm thrilled, and yes income is on the up again, but I haven't worked out how much I've spent on the videos yet, must do that

I've been spending much more on videos recently, music and animation has been done professionaly, some of my early content was so dire, and I should really take it off, quality content is king from now on. (mmmm lol)

I'm pleased to say the dancing frogs are doing really well. I also won 3 prizes in a video content at 123 greetings today, worth $30. Augusts figures aren't in yet, but I think they are going to be in the region of £660

It just goes to show what consistency does!

Top performing video at the moment are crazy candles below. I lost one of my animators, he just stopped responding, so I've only got one now (luckily the one that did the frogs and the candles) I'm searching for some others to work with right now. Plus I had some-one contact me via youtube, who wanted me to do a video for his dads 100th birthday from the queen. Charged him £20, but might be a bit cheap, will see how it turns out

You want to be charging about 5x time imo unless that general payrate for making youtube vids really is that low and the likes of fiverr have just bottomed the market out!

Hi Jon, yes I did think it was a bit cheap, he was happy with the price, the video is completed although he hasn't paid for it yet! It cost me about £13, so £7 profit for a few minutes work.
Youtube advised that I change my ad format, to the annoying ones that you have to watch! Which I did, views are down but income is up, which is the right way round.
Figures are in for August- £678.16 thats £114.86 up from last month, and September is looking even better. I'm just creating content, and more content. I've found a new animator to work with, the one I have is great, but he's always really busy, so it takes forever! Up until the end of July I had spent £394.11 with fiverr.com and an income of £3718 from youtube to date.
I'm investing some of this back into a new wardrobe website with a shop attached, I'll post a link when it's finished

It certainly is, and it seems to be staying up theere for the moment. I've got a heap of new videos in the pipe line too. My target for September is $1000 (£740), Infact I have just set my target for the whole year at £7000 (better late than never"), I need a nother £3282 to do that, which is £820 per month until the end of the year eermmmmm........
