Recently joined Smarty & I'm pretty sure their refer a friend t&cs say you can only refer your actual real life family & friends not people off the internet unlike giffgaff (your referral gets your real name too)

Smarty is owned by Three (or Three's parent company) and it's £25 for unlimited data.
I don't mind em knowing my real name or me knowing their real name? Why is that an issue?

I need a bit of help and advice please. I have been with Smarty since the end of March and everything is just as you would expect a phone provider to be. However, since changing to Smarty my phone has not connected automatically to other networks as it did with my previous provider. Specifically I need my phone to connect to networks when I am in supermarkets. This is because, as some of you know, the Vypr snakes like me and I am now officially fed up of constantly rebooting my phone from scratch every time there are 100 Steers or more to collect in various supermarkets. Sometimes I can reboot and connect and sometimes I can’t. I have asked in each supermarket if they have Wi-Fi and they do. My phone is an Android and I got it in February this year. So the question is, is this a Smarty thing or is there something I need to change in my phone setting? I have no idea.
Please help a very confused and fed up An-na.

I think it's a phone thing. I am ok at connecting to WiFi in supermarkets once I've done it once as it remembers me if that makes sense and is what you're asking :)

With my previous phone provider my phone connected automatically and remembered the Wi-Fi every time. This is not so with Smarty.
Yesterday I rebooted once in my local Co-op and it took two reboots to get onto the Morrisons Wi-Fi. I have some Sainsbury’s Steers sitting there but I know from experience that it will not connect to them.
I have checked my Settings under Mobile Network on my phone and Automatically Select Network Type is selected.
This is too much hassle. I may go back to my old provider and see what happens.

A big thank for the people that have clicked on my link in the past few days I really appreciate it.

Just to give anyone the heads up that is looking for unlimited data - Smarty has a "deal for life" (sounds a bit dramatic!) at £18.75 a month currently. Thought it might be useful to point out for people that use loads of data.

Hey guys, this is my smarty referral link --> https://referme.to/PiWvcco

And I'm on the largest 8GB for £15 so you should get that for free for a month, cash for any amount of unused data, plus a £10 amazon voucher!

Happy savings!

Or please use the author's referral link
https://referme.to/0FbM1eo

Also please note contrary to the post directly prior to this the referrer's package has nothing to do with what you get free, it is the package that you select that matters.

Many thanks for reading this and to the people that have used my link so far.

I've been with mobile network Smarty for 3 months now, and it's been really good - it's a sim-only mobile contract which runs on the Three network.

If you use the link below to sign up, you will get a FREE month! And I get one too :)

You're not tied into a contract either, so you can change easily - and they offer a range of different packages. At the moment their unlimited plan is only £18.75 a month!

Grab a bargain while it lasts.

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who has used my referral link so far. I really appreciate it. For anyone that wants a small phone package Smarty have an offer at the moment for £5 a month for unlimited texts and calls plus 500MB of data. They've also got unlimited data (and calls and texts) contracts at £18.75 per month still which is a 25% reduction of the usual price.

Smarty have now introduced a group discount where you can have between 2-8 people on the same group and you save 15% of the tariff.

Therefore, the cheapest deal they would have on this would be £4.25 per month for unlimited texts and calls with 500mb of data (obviously you can pay more and get more data) if you have 2 or more people in the group.

If you're interested please use my referral link: -
https://referme.to/0FbM1eo

If you use this link I get a month free and so do you. Once a member you can then set a group so you and family and/or friends can benefit from the 15% discount.

Thanks

Leah
