Booked mum in for her booster on Saturday morning. Hopefully will get mine at the same time, as I've somehow fallen through the cracks after getting my first jab when she did, about three groups before I should have been called (I had the devil's own job getting my second...).

Hope there will be a) fuel for the buses, and b) South East London won't be completely gridlocked with petrol station queues, as it has been all weekend.

My Mum had her booster yesterday and they offered to do her flu jab at the same time, so she has two sore arms today, but it got it done and dusted. :)

ZOE figures are absolutely NUTS today!

768,719 people are currently predicted to have symptomatic COVID-19 in the UK, down by 113,465. Yesterday was 882,184 (-13%) and last Friday was 697,623 (+10%).

60,251 daily cases in the UK, down by 13,024. Yesterday was 73,275 (-18%) and last Friday was 62,135 (-3%).

It's almost impossible to know what to make of the ZOE figures. I think they're more accurate as they'd put the Covid-in-the-Wild figures at about 1 in 70, which feels about right (most of those in children, where I think it's currently around 1 in 12/13).

The figures in our town went up really quickly a few weeks back, as the schools were absolutely rife, but today there was a sudden fall of 533 on the previous week. So who knows what's going on! I'd love to think that its burning itself out, but it could just be lulling us into a false sense of security.

This image seems to suggestion its kids driving it but it's burning out a bit as they get vaccinated

Crazy news about this testing centre that's been giving out the wrong PCR result.

Suppose there isn't anything they can do about it now really!
