wow! So do you see that as a good thing for yourself? You happy to carry on working from home?

I suppose if they company let their offices go that will free up cash to maybe keep staff on?!
I’m happy working from home. It will save the company a lot - rent, utilities, cheaper insurance etc. Im sure once things go back to normal we will meet up regularly. Maybe when the economy recovers they will look at offices again. The main downside to working from home is all the Zoom calls are so tiring!

I had a zoom interview the other day. Which was fine. But the worrying thing is is that jobs are only being posted for a day before being taken off due to too many applications.

I help in a charity shop and I am not looking forward to spending all morning in a mask. Our customer numbers are still down any way.

What I’m hearing is that the over 50s / at risk are going to be given a flu jab this year to that they won’t get flu symptoms and think it’s covid

seems quite pragmatic I guess

Everyone ready for the brave new world of wearing masks then
Still waiting for someone to explain why yesterday it was OK not to wear one, last week it was OK not the wear one, at the beginning of March it was OK not to wear one but today's it's essential. #windowdressing.

A map for you all to enjoy using

Looks interesting but they need to change the colours, its not really clear to me. The whole country appears to be in the 3-9 category but should mostly be white. The background map also has built up areas shaded in blue which really confuses things too.

A couple of reasons. They are learning new things all the time and at the beginning as it was a new virus they did not know enough about it to say a mask would help. Add to that, the panic buying of masks would have led to a further shortage for the NHS. The final part about why not last week - we have a Govt who are making it up as they go along. It would have been better weeks ago but they seem to be incapable of seeing what is happening in other countries and taking a lead from countries that a few weeks ahead of us with regard to the infection.

There is also the concern that people will think that is all they have to do and stop some of the other things like regular hand washing and social distancing rather than see it is another small step.

‪I REALLY think the virus is weakening now you know. Less than 100 people on ventilators in the whole of the UK now, and the amount of people in hospitals in England has reduced by nearly 20% in the last 2 days.‬

It is getting better, but it did in Japan, France, Germany and Spain. They are all seeing a lot more cases recently.

So am I right in thinking just because you have to quarantine for 14 days when you get back from Spain that a holiday company wouldn't cancel your holiday / flight would they? I mean the gov aren't saying it's unsafe to travel just that you have to stay at home for a bit.

I don't think it would be grounds for a refund. As the flight and holiday booking are still going ahead.
I can't imagine many people will actually do the quarantine. I mean, picture the conversation with your boss after being off on furlough, then having a holiday and then wanting another 14 days off after that.

That positive % is such an important stat. We tested around 14,000 extra people this week with only an increase of 23 infections
