it can’t just be me that’s spending considerably LESS that I would do normally during the week!

This whole lifestyle just doesn’t give you the chance to spend and have fun!
I wasn't spending at all until today. Just dropped quite a bit of money on the Xbox Easter sale

Rather ironic that petrol is the cheapest it has been for years but now there is no where to drive to.

And for no reason. Here's a cat.

I just ordered a big meat delivery from Musclefood for the end of April, that was my exciting recent spend :)

I suspect, for no reason other than I think it'll happen (which means it might be absolute balls) that we might attempt to lift some aspects of lockdown at the beginning of May. Whether that includes driving around a bit is anyone's guess. As soon as it does, the price will rocket again.

Another 758 patients have died in England after contracting the coronavirus - bringing the total to 5,655.

The figures have been released by NHS England, showing 224 of the deaths were in London, 142 in the Midlands and 101 in the east of England.

The Prime Minister's official spokesperson also said that an update on the lockdown would come later this week.
They added any decisions made will be guided by the science.

I think I am too. I'm sort of telling myself that we will start to get some of our freedoms back by the middle to end of next month. I'm keeping an eye on Austria, as their lockdown exit is likely to be at least in part the model for ours.

Vallance says the capacity of intensive care beds is increasing.

And he says the death figures should start to come down in the next two or three weeks.

From the BBC

things moving the right direction perhaps?

If there is any silver lining to these grim figures, it is that they represent the fourth day in a row of below-trend growth.

For weeks up until Friday’s figures, the number of deaths had been doubling every three-and-a-half days.

Had that trend continued, we would have seen close to 1,400 deaths today.

So 786 is better than that – although it’s still too soon to know what’s causing it.

There is the risk of people just going out over the weekend. I am glad to see figures dropping but cant see why we seem to be coming out of it better than other countries with a less strict shut down.

Interesting this. Supermarkets have taken on all that staff and STILL can't meet the demand. I went into our local Morrisons yesterday in North Leeds and there wasn't even a queue to get in, you just walked straight through!

Another thing about Morrisons is they were one of the last supermarkets to offer online delivery so I bet they are glad they managed to do it! Also, I think M&S don't offer it, wonder if it is affecting their sales at all

I think that the chap who delivered my online shop this morning must've been taken on recently as extra staff.
We're self isolating and he really didn't have a scooby doo! He is supposed to ring me to say he is there, bath in hand sanitizer, leave the stuff on the step, then I wave at the window while he gets back in the cab and then I go pick it up from the doorstep.
This bloke, knocks on the door to tell me he is there, without sanitizing, and doesn't step back from the door. I try to tell him what he should do, but his English is like Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
He gave me such a weird look when I stepped away from him backwards as he tried to hand me the bags. I was almost waiting for the comedy sketch moment where he chased me through the house with the bags :)
Despite the 'stock is back to normal,' there was still no loo roll, pasta, rice or pasta sauce!

Didn't M&S start selling through Ocado recently?

Online supermarket delivery people have been great here, we had a UBER Eats on Sunday and the delivery driver wearing gloves handed me the order, and last week (not our normal postperson), knocked on the door and asked me if I wanted them to put it down, when I said yes they leant into my house and put in on the floor inside the door !!!! DOH!.

M&S I thought were through Deliveroo
