But schools haven't reopened! My children have not been to their schools since March and from what I can tell, the years that have gone in are on a rota so go in one or two days every other week. The real test is when things get back to something that looks like normal, at the moment a huge number of people are still working from home and the tubes are largely empty. I still haven't been to a single shop that isn't a food shop.
I tell you what I saw a lot of in the supermarkets this weekend. BACK TO SCHOOL STUFF - for all the years lol

It's not really a lockdown though is it. Just stopping pubs and shops opening. I wonder how that works? I mean where does Leicester end? Won't people from Leicester just go elsewhere, like Birmingham, Stoke, Derby, and spread it there? It's not like the government have planned very well in the last 4 months.

Yeah I thought that today. People could just hop a train out to London or whenever and drink there if the city gets locked down for 2 extra weeks

Depending on your point of view about attending weddings, the new rules are either a disaster or just the job to decline without looking like a misery guts...

That's another regular £150 or so a month down the u-bend for the forseeable. Might see if I can put some tracks down with backing and rent them out at a reasonable rate to weddings.

Interesting seeing that local lock down wokring. Especially on council border lines, its like your pub can open on side of the street, the other cant! Oh and different recycle bins as well :p

True that. I'm not in Leicester but the border for the council where I live runs through the middle of my road. My bins get emptied on tuesdays and my neighbour opposite gets theirs done on fridays!

Byrom burgers have gone belly up. Most F&B restaurants won't reopen. Will be interesting to see just how many restaurants open next week as I'm not sure it will be as many as people think and part of me wonders if independent cafes / restaurants will flourish compared to national chain ones with their giant overheads!

Numbers up slightly

Of the 176 deaths reported, 59 were in hospital. So again, another day with a massive disparity there. There has to be some explanation for why deaths are so high outside of hospitals - Care homes is my guess as I can't see those deaths being in / from the community
