We had a whole ten days of tier 2. I feel sorry for the restaurants who got supplies in and now have to close again. Tier 3 again from Boxing day.

the numbers today are GRIM - Just need another Vaccine and we can have some more light at the end of the tunnel but I think January is going to be a TOUGH MONTH while we power through this!

I am hibernating for January, I feel so sorry for the businesses that have to close though. I am now Tier blooming 4 and it's a proper faff. I did get to have lunch with my Dad last Tuesday, we bent the rules. We were both from Tier 2 areas (at that time) and he was coming over to see the horse that he very kindly bought me for Christmas (best present ever) so we had lunch in a local restaurant - a business meeting to discuss his investment and our future plans with her! Am glad we did meet up as I am not sure when we will see each other again.

LOTS of astrazeneca news coming out at the moment with the start date being 4th Jan

Also, can't help but think they will put us in a national lockdown before new years eve or else they will have another Christmas on their hands!

I counted 17 for sale / to let boards on empty shops in Stafford town centre yesterday, thats just ones on the main highstreet.

No good having people on furlough if they dont have jobs to go back to.

Another day, another press conference. The media have been ramping up the fear this week so I fully expect more areas moving into tier 4 and screwing children's education again.

Can't help but feel they are going to end up closing all the schools due to national pressure

There is a definite case to do it. Surely now is the ideal time as the children can treat it as an extension of Christmas - a couple of extra weeks to play with their toys. I don't see the logic of going back for a couple of weeks then shutting everywhere down again.
