People volunteering to give vaccinations have been made to do the full NHS mandatory training including modules such as conflict resolution, racism awareness and lifting and handling. In my day you just stuck a needle into an orange a few times. My husband is 80 and has not been invited for his jab yet so I think it will be quite a while before vacinations make much difference.
They seem to be very gung ho about mixing and matching vaccines and delaying the second dose. You wonder what the point of the clinical trials was.
Husband has passed his training as both a vaccinator and vaccinator teacher. Yes, it's loads of work. He's been holed away upstairs all day going through the modules.

I'm happy to volunteer to give them - I inject myself with migraine medication regularly, so I'm pretty certain I could train up to inject other people quite quickly. Even happy to do the graveyard slots if we go 24 hours. I don't sleep much anyway...

All the more reason to knuckle down for another month or so. Unfortunately, looking at the quarter of a million plus infections that have gone through over the past five days alone, that's about another 2,500 deaths baked in. It's both a tragedy and a scandal.

I’m not watching them anymore. My anxiety and mental health can’t take much more and like you say the media seem to know what’s coming beforehand making them completely pointless.

A further 582 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 52,395, NHS England said on Tuesday.

Patients were aged between 29 and 103. All except 25, aged between 56 and 101, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths were between November 5 and January 4, with the majority being on or after January 1.

There were 20 other deaths reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
