I think it depends which one you have. My parents both had Pzier with no side effects, i had the Astra Zeneca and was floored for a couple of days.
Yeh I had the Astra Zeneca. 'floored' is about right..

Well the unlocking has begun (again)

Not much has really changed for me

no kids at school

no family in care homes

it's too cold to meet up with 1 other person in a park!

Yesterday I tried to see if we could get our jabs a bit earlier and/or nearer than 46 mile drive. Was told by the operator on 119 that they can't see if any centres nearer to me have available slots or earlier dates until I take my chance and cancel the ones we have. Obviously the system is set up in such a way to discourage you from changing your allocated slot, but so annoying when you know there are places within a few miles of home. I tried ringing a local pharmacy that several of my friends have used, but they said they can only allocate spaces for online booking or 119, but when I checked the latest list of vaccination centres on the NHS site they don't even show!

It is strange the way they are doing it. My brother got his letter yesterday as part of the 56-59 group. He doesnt get it until April 1st. He does work shifts but has plenty of days off between then and now. he has also had his second appointment booked in June.

We decided to take a chance and cancel our jabs in an effort to get earlier dates or nearer venues. Spent about an hour and a half in total online and using 119. It turns out the people on 119 are no better off than you doing it yourself and have no special access. Must have booked about 30 appointments before one went through. The system is an utter shambles, and even the operator on 119 said it was exasperating. You select a date and time and invariably it tells you it’s gone 10 seconds later. Then 10 minutes later you see it being offered again! Anyway, finally managed to get a jab booked for this Sunday, but still have to drive 50 miles to get it. The second one in June is only about 12 miles away.

Don't know what's going in in Poland

They seem to be going through a Third Wave!!

Have they not vaccinated many people there?

The number of patients in intensive care has reached a new high in the Czech Republic, as several Central European countries struggle with a new wave of the virus.

Not surprised at today’s case numbers being up a little as we are doing about 100% more testing!

I think we should be taking heart from the fact that numbers are up so very little on double the testing. I have a feeling we're close to the daily level of infections that are 'acceptable' if hospital numbers and deaths continue to fall.

Can't see that happening yet. I have just turned 60 and only just managed to get mine booked today for next Saturday and friends 55-60 are also just getting theirs done this weekend
My brother has booked his for April 1st. I don't know if that is because there were no places or just that they did not fit it with his shifts until then.
