Seems we are over that plateau in regards to case numbers!

Three-point guidance by JCVI

Professor Wei Shen Lim, chairman of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), emphasises the benefit of COVID-19 vaccines but is aware of the small risks.
He says JCVI feel there are three points of advice...
  • Information given to individuals should be appropriately updated
  • Those who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine should continue to be offered the second dose according to the set schedule
  • 18 to 29-year-olds who do not have underlying health conditions should be offered an alternative COVID-19 vaccine when one becomes available
He says the JCVI is not advising a stop to any vaccine to any age group.

at 39 (40 on 3rd May) I would still happily take the AZ vaccine

In my head the risk even at 18-29 of you getting ill and dieing from Covid is STILL higher than that of getting a blood clot because of the vaccine

Covid-19 case rates have dropped across all regions of England, according to the latest weekly surveillance report from Public Health England.

In Yorkshire and the Humber the rate of new cases stood at 66.9 per 100,000 people in the seven days to April 4, the highest in the country - but down from 111.1 in the previous week.

The East Midlands is down from 71.6 to 44.2, Eastern England is down from 41.4 to 23.1, London is down from 36.6 to 20.9, the North East is down from 56.7 to 38.7, the North West 63.7 to 35.9, South-East England is down from 34.2 to 19.2, South-West England down from 29.2 to 15.5, and the West Midlands is down from 60.3 to 34.2.

My daughter had her first AZ jab last month and is 28. So she'll still have to have her second jab. It is a bit of a worry, but with her health problems, its definitely worth the tiny risk.

Nearly 800 deaths caused from the vaccines and over half a million reportable side effects reported so far.
I don't think those figures are insignificant.

Correct. Don't expect the mainstream media to report that though. AZ at 472, and Pfizer at 302 plus a few that were brand unspecified. AZ has had significantly more reports of side effects than Pfizer too.

The 800 deaths shortly after vaccination is true, although it needs to be seen in context. The Government data is not hidden:

'The MHRA has received 302 UK reports of suspected ADRs to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in which the patient died shortly after vaccination, 472 reports for the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine and 12 where the brand of vaccine was unspecified. The majority of these reports were in elderly people or people with underlying illness. Usage of the AstraZeneca has increased rapidly and as such, so has reporting of fatal events with a temporal association with vaccination however, this does not indicate a link between vaccination and the fatalities reported. Review of individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest the vaccine played a role in the death.'
