I was discussing this with a mate earlier and we came to the some conclusion. I used to work for one of the UK's major insurers and they have just moved into new premises in our town. There has been a delay in completing the work and so their hand may be forced to some degree as I am not sure when their lease on their current premises expires. It will be interesting to see how many people will return to office work, once the WFH guidance ends. I think the numbers will be down as I have friends who work for companies who have got rid of office space and now use hot-desking meaning only 50% of the workforce can come in at any given time!
That is very unfortunate for him/her. No children I know who had covid has been the slightest bit ill from it. I don't think its common.I am seriously worried about how many kids might end up with Long Covid. One of my students (13) still isn't right 17 months on.
I wish them all the best and hope they recover fully with time. I didn't have long covid but I think my taste buds changed although I can't really describe what's different. It'll lurch forward again for a couple of weeks after the 19th, then the schools will close. That will hopefully provide a natural slowdown.

Oddly, she's a bit better for having picked up - and recovered from - Delta a few weeks ago. Not that I'd recommend that as a cure...I wish them all the best and hope they recover fully with time.
