When covid all started and we had the first lockdown everyone seemed to be going on about how they don't use their city centre anymore and are now depending on local shops like the butcher, newsagent, greengrocer etc.
I'm not sure that includes banks through as where I live in North Leeds I've watched 3 of our local banks (lloyds, barclays and santander) all close this month. I would say it's a mixture of who the heck even goes to these places anymore combined with who pays in cheques and does anyone actually carry any physical money anymore!!
I would guess Covid has just sped the inevitable up!
