I can see that there is a lot of talk about matched betting on multiple threads running to hundreds of pages, so my request is this...

1. How much chance is there of making a mistake that costs you your money?
2. Is there a benefit in any particular sport?

1. Everyone makes a mistake that costs them money
2. If you are starting, try to keep to UK football. Its easier to 'do' and more likely something someone in the UK will bet on. Using Matchfinder to get the best 'result' may get you a MB that gives you another 3p on a pound BUT if you are betting on Brazillian judo yesterday, Portugese Beaver wrestling today and Antarctic Kabudi tomorrow, it will flag you as a 'strange' better (may lead to being gubbed quicker).

Side note- sign up to the MB trial with PA, watch the videos. Re-watch the videos and then follow each recommendation stage by stage and you will see how it works. Work slowly, work methodically and trust the maths.

Get half a dozen of the simpler sign up offers from PA or odds monkey under your belt first before tackling the more complicated offers.

Making a mistake is annoying. As the saying goes, you learn from your mistakes. It is still annoying though. The folks here are very helpful and can sometimes help you fix a mistake.
I am glad to say I managed to lose all bar one of my sky free bets, and have received a betfair annual in the post. Like a sort of adult Christmas annual.
