Well they are annoying me with the correction task, it seems they only load a small number at the time and then you have to wait days for them to load some more. Instead of just loading up a big number and letting us get on with it.

The only job I have that i'm not doing is the 5 sentence one for 8c, that is just ridiculous.

I haven’t done any Neevo tasks for a few weeks, waiting for a good one.

Just seen that. I'm ignoring it and hoping the pay will go up to by a fair amount. They really do low ball their workers.

I started doing one of the MOS jobs (comparing the speech of track A and track B) but the speech in A and B was exactly the same for each task, so I reported it to their support team and they came back with:

When participating on MOS jobs, if you recognize a pattern that all the audios are the same, we highly recommend writing on the text option so you will not be considered doing bot behavior;
Also, please avoid using the same answer over and over in the job as you might end up being blocked. If you do feel it is the same, always reach out to the support team.
Please start doing the following:

  • Don't click fast (take your time doing each task and listen the audio until the end);
  • Avoid a repetitive pattern and write once in a while a comment saying that the audios are the same.

Does that mean they want me to take my time and just guess?

I don't think they are saying that. Basically from what I can gather, they are saying don't rush instead take your time & pay attention and if the audios are the same then every so often write that in the comments but avoid writing the same comment, change a word so you are not identified as a bot.

Hmmm, ok you might be right. I just thought they would check what I'd reported and then do something about it.

I imagine it's an AI that does all the checking and all they care about is getting rid of 'bot behaviour'.

Hey, I was doing the same project and also reported it, however the project manager replied and said it was a bug and they were looking into it.

Just got a message from Neevo regarding payment I was waiting on from the last correction task, I did 2500, and was just told that 1113 were invalid and won't be paid! Raging, how is that even possible?! Just feels like a complete con, that's well over $100 I'm missing out on! :mad:

Yep, I knew they had form for this, and that it was unlikely I would get paid for all of the tasks but that is just ridiculous. They expect me to believe I somehow I got over 1000 wrong, after getting over 1000 correct? They don't even give a reason why they are invalid, it's definitely put me off doing any further work.

Well they replied with...

"In order for us to maintain the high-quality standard of our information we integrate random tests in your tasks for quality purposes.
You are allowed to continue working on a specific job as long as you answer correctly to a certain amount of these test tasks.

The validation stage for this job consisted in two people validating each task and they both had to agree if it was valid or invalid. In case they didn't agree, an extra person would be added to validate that task."

It still all sounds sus to me, as I still have no idea how I would get over 1000 wrong, and if they knew I was getting so many wrong why was I not blocked from the job?? But like the person above said you do these jobs at the risk of not getting paid for the majority of them. This is the first time it's really happened to me though, but it did suck as I lost over $100.

that's interesting how they do the tests. I knew they added tests but I didn't know they validated the normal work by using that method.
I wonder if you can fail quality standards by not agreeing with other workers decisions if so it would be better to do jobs not what you think is correct but what you think other workers will think is correct.

Also I wonder, lets say you do a 1000 tasks and in that 1000 you get 5 tests and fail 2 but the remaining tasks you get mostly correct. Not unreasonable since the tests can be made to be deliberately tricky and/or normal tasks or all pretty standard and easy to grade. Then since you got 40% of test tasks wrong they don't pay you for 400 normal tasks. Might be something like this.

Maybe I should have done what I thought other workers would think right, but I always just do what i think is right, which for this one anyway appears to have been the wrong thing. But the really annoying thing is we aren't told specifically what bit is wrong, going on that theory above I got all my test questions wrong, and I would love to know how.

I did the comparing audio to the corrected text job (if that makes sense, dunno what else to call it) and I can say that there were sooooo many that had been incorrectly transcribed and/or missing the correct tags. Most tasks I saw were incorrect, the highest number I’ve seen yet. So many were simply due to the lack of non speech tags so maybe that’s something you suffered with? Not accusing at all, please don’t get me wrong. I have just seen it from the other side of things as I know others here have too.
