The 0.17c task is joke. Having to transcribe 1 minute of text for 12 pence is laughable. I wouldnt recommend anyone to put time into it as i have only been paid for 25 of the 43 tasks so far. Luckily Ive found some WFH job at the moment so i leave Neevo open and everytime i see one of these tasks that needs transcribing above 15 seconds I leave the browser open to skip the task to the next one. Hopefully i dont get banned for this

I disagree mate. Easily used to do 3,000+ of these sometimes so over $500.

Hey Rich, Happy New Year How is your Etsy Store going?

Im sure it works for a lot of people, I think that with the fact that Neevo for the last three four jobs I have done has only payed me for half my tasks which cuts my pay rate in half. So me transcribing 1 minute of talking with fillers and stuttering for 6 pence each doesnt work for me.

I think they were a lot shorter before though, I never remember the clips being as long as this from any other time I did the correction job. It would simply be impossible to reach that sort of figure with clips that are as long as these.

These transcriptions are almost cynical in length, plus it's like they havent even been through Neevos "A.I" yet so we are basically transcribing text from scratch.

I reckon it takes me about an average of 2-3 mins per task, so that's about £3 per hour. If I didn't need a little extra cash right now or had something better then I wouldn't do it. I actually don't mind the tasks themselves, they are more interesting than some I've done before.

Happy new year mate, it’s slowed down a lot but still getting a couple per day. Need to work on some more designs but struggling to get motivated.

To be fair, I haven’t done Neevo for a while so I wouldn’t know how long the recordings are now, but if they are all really long then yeah it’s probably not worth it anymore.

Rather you than me, I can't stand the job this time, I enjoyed it okay last time, can't remember how many I did, but it was well over 2000. But then like I said the clips were much shorter, there was hardly any that reached 20 seconds, never mind the essays we have to listen to now. But all that stuttering and stammering over words, and using fillers every second, makes this impossible for me to do this time.

I did the test for the 17c job today (I’ve been putting it off!) and failed twice.

You know what? I’m pretty happy about that! I could barely understand what the speakers were saying and all were over 30 seconds long. And to now have to add punctuation? No thanks.

Anyone doing the $0.17 correction task? I’m considering it.

I've done about a thousand in the past month. The more you do, the quicker you'll do them. But they're not well paid for what you do. Also I only do them in small batches as you'd go crazy doing them for long periods.

The only positive thing to say is there seems to be a never ending supply of them, so if you're desperate for work then there's plenty of it.

I’ve done them before mate. I just wondered because I read here that people think the transcriptions have got longer.

How many have you been paid for so far? I've only been paid for 500 out of 1200, this is of course the issue with this job, you have no idea what they will pay you for.

I always wonder about the untellable tag, if using it makes it automatically marked wrong? Because honestly the accents are British but some of them can't even string 2 words together let alone a sentence, so I do have to use it quite a bit. There is one man and he talks like he is chewing a mouthful of something that effects his ability to speak, I get him a lot.

I can usually only manage about 50 a day else like you day you'd go mad doing them.

I didn't do them before so I can't really comment. Some are quite time consuming and then you get a run of 6 or 7 that might only be two or three words. I agree that there's a payment issue and because they pay at random periods it's hard to know exactly how many they are discounting or even how they check for accuracy. If I had enough other paid work I wouldn't do them, but I don't mind doing a two or three batches spread out through the day. 50 is about my limit, but if I was desperate for a bit more cash I could probably do double that or so without losing my sanity!

I did like 3000-4000+ in the past. I've just done the test and got 10/10 which was surprising as I had to read the guidelines again and it's changed since I did it, but then I've literally just done 10 and it is so annoying so I can't see me getting back into it.

They've now upped the rate of pay for the transcription tasks and coincidentally banned me from doing them because I've failed quality standards. I'm pretty pissed because some of the audio is bloody hard to transcribe and I've genuinely tried my best to decipher it.

Raising the payment rate at the same time is just a double whammy. I've done over 1400 tasks, they better still pay me for the rest.

I did the test and got 10/10 and then I did 10 paid transcriptions so that should be $1.70, then I got paid like half of it, glad I didn’t continue!

I've just logged in and started this. Yea, I'm not that desperate to be paid for half my time on these essays. No wonder they're upping the pay - everyone's jacking this in.
