Hi, I've created a simple spreadsheet in Google Sheets with the following rows (I don't have Excel):

Date
Bookie
Event
Bet Stake
Bet Type
custom laid/underlaid/unlaid
Qualifying Loss
Profit
Casino/Slots Profit

I intend to total up the Bet Stake, Qualifying Loss, Profit and Slots Profit columns to get my final Profit .

1) If the Qualifying Loss and/or Profit figures are taken from the calculator, do I actually need to add up the Bet Stake column too?
2) Is it possible to find out my overall profit by deducting the QL column from the 2 x Profit columns instead?
3) If I do NOT lay a Free Bet ie £10 FB, what amount would I put in the Bet Stake and QL columns if it LOST?
4) If I do NOT lay a Free Bet ie £10 FB, what amount would I put in the Bet Stake and QL columns if it WON?

Am tying myself up in knots trying to figure it all out, so thought I would ask my friends on here :)

I think you are over complicating things. OM and PA both have a system for keeping track of your profit, so you may be better off using that.

Me, I just write each bet in an A4 notepad ( I find it easier with everything physically on the table. in front of me ) then total up the profit and record it in excel at the end of each day. Two columns, date and total profit. Done.

I ALWAYS do things the long way round @homie, hee hee. I don't have PA or OM anymore, hence the spreadsheet.

So, how do you work out your total profit exactly then? thanks :)

If you don't have PA OR om how do you work out the bets that are best and how much to lay?

@Karonher - I used to have them, so know the basics and just do them manually these days as I am only doing a few before packing it in. I use a free calculator

@Knopfler I'll PM you.

@Karonher you don't need PA or OM at all. Their main use is the 0% fees on the exchange if you place a lot of bets. The basic calculator they have is free anyway without signing up (and to be honest you can recreate it yourself pretty fast).

Their main use is the odds matcher, I think. But yeah, if they lost the 0% on smarkets then I would probably stop using a paid service. I tend to stick to the same 5 or 6 bookies anyway most weeks so it would be easy enough to find the offers.
