Hi, I signed up to Test Birds about a week ago and completed the entry test, that got accepted, but it's been about 4-5 days since and I haven't heard anything else. I was just wondering if anyone who is signed up, how often they got assignments? I found the assignment interesting and paid £4.29 for about an hours work but usually, you'll get twice as much so £8.58 per assignment sounds pretty good.
I understand it will be different for different demographics age, gender, interests etc but I just wanted to get a rough idea, thanks.
Funnily enough I signed up a couple of days ago, enjoyed the test like you said and have also heard nothing since.
I think this might be quite usual because in the email they sent me saying I was approved, and in the FAQs and somewhere else on the site, they stressed multiple times that it might take a while to receive tests. In fact they went out of their way to point out that it was their system that allocated tests, and to not send them any emails to say you haven't had any because they had no control over it.
I think they probably don't have many customers, or too many testers, so the jobs are spread thin.
From my understanding, this is actually quite unusual for a usability site, as I've heard opportunities usually come fairly frequently, though that's dependent on demographics etc.
I've been checking my inbox everyday, and I'm actually feeling a bit paranoid and checking my spam folder too!
Good luck! Hope you get something soon!
