Hi everyone! Literally new so just grasping everything on here. I've recently decided to try be more aware of where my money is going and have taken a huge interest in making a few extra bucks in my spare time. I work full time but do long shift work so I get alot of me time. I've currently signed up to a few survey apps but omg they are so slow! And you almost never qualify!
So I'm open to some suggestions and look forward to reading and discussing some money making tips

You can start your own thread or post on existing ones. No worries either way :)

Fantastic, thanks Jon.

In the meantime I popped out and did a little , tiny easy bit of work and got me £5.00 :)

Hi all,

My name is Ben and I have just joined up to The Money Shed today having seen it being mentioned a few times on the 'boost your income' section of the green site's Forum.

I have a full time job but would love to be able to earn some extra cash from home as I am saving for a mortgage, and I always seem to be on my credit card at the end of the month. My girlfriend has babysitting as a second income so I could work from home whilst she is out.

I have tried some survey websites but I can't get on with most of them apart from Crowdology, and the invites seem to be few and far between for surveys. I also get a message sometimes saying I'm not suited for the survey.

I have done matched betting a few years ago with some mates, and exhausted all of the new joining options, and had most of my accounts closed down so I'm not able to do that.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can earn some money from home that doesn't involve any of the above I would be extremely grateful. I apologise If I have rambled a bit and I will have a look at the website and how it works this evening.

Kind regards,

Ben

Hi John,

Really appreciate that thank you for taking the time to post on here. I will navigate the site as best I can, but would appreciate a guide in the right direction of how I can start to register with companies to make money from home.

Regards,

Ben

What is your main earner to be able to bring that home that much additional each month?

Hello,

I joined the money shed a few years ago, but then got completely distracted by uni, and now can't access that old email/account, so here I am, graduated and wanting to earn from home whilst I write a book.

I would like to pay off my credit card (£900), and buy a new MacBook and a professional camera.

I am home-bound at the moment, and not interested in matched betting (I have an addictive personality), so I feel this limits my possibilities for earning, however, I am determined to push myself and see what I can do :)

Hi everyone,

I am about to have another baby and looking for ways in which I can maximise on any online income streams. I participate in some online surveys (e.g. YouGov, Graduate/Student Panel) but find these take a while to build up and I'm either bored of the same surveys or I'm screen out, so looking for some other interesting ones.

Matched betting is quite a new concept to me and I might try it out but think I'll take a while to read through everything first before I embark on it. I previously "earned" a lot through comping so I am likely to take that up again too.

I've been a member of StreetSpotr for a while but there's not usually many spots near me so I'll have a look at the other apps and see whether it's worth it for me. I guess, if anything, at least it'll get me out and doing some exercise!

Looking forward to being part of an online community again and if I come across anything that will help others, I'll be sure to post!

Hi @jollyjelly

Fantastic to have you on here and posting!

Matched Betting is basically 'money for nothing' and there isn't anything else in the 'earning online' sector that pays you so much for doing so little so definitely give it a go!

Look forward to reading your posts!!

Hi my name is Don, I am 53 years old and have worked every day of my life since leaving school at 16, unfortunately, my wife, who I have been with since I was fifteen needed emergency spine surgery and I had to give up my job, (at the time a supervisor at NPower) to look after her.

I now take care of this wonderful woman, have a fantastic, close loving family, (three children, two grand children, my shadows :) ) but feel a desperate need to get back to work, and obviously I need to do that from home.

I have had a range of jobs, ran my own business on three occasions and have picked up many life skills over a diverse range of jobs and people I have met. I pride myself on honesty and have made many, many good friends over the course of my 53 years, hopefully, I can make more on this site, and find what I am looking for..

Thanks for allowing me to join... DON x

Thanks - I will give them a go, for sure. Anything that gets me out and about more when this new baby comes must be good for the waistline ;)

Hi there
I'm Thimara and live in Scotland. Due to health reasons, I'm currently unemployed. I would love to work from home, for me, this would be an ideal situation. Any suggestions/guidelines would be much appreciated as I have no idea where to begin. Over the years, I've dabbled with doing online surveys but somehow that didn't work out for me. There were other sites were you literally spent the whole day just to earn 10p. Have also tried things that were just fake so... I'm a bit doubtful if one can genuinely earn an income doing online work. I'm not looking for a get rich scheme, just an amount to pay my bills & stock up the fridge. Of course, I'm also aware that things will not happen straight away.

Looking forward to hearing from you
Warm regards

Hi Thimara

Fantastic to have you on here and posting

I would suggest you start with the beginners guide to earning online toolkit
https://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/working-from-home-toolkit/

You can make £1000+ a month from that alone so it should get you off to a good start depending on how much you are looking to earn

Good morning everyone,

I'm brand new to the concept of making money online and feeling a mixture of excitement along with a niggle of scepticism. I've loved reading the comments on the forum and I truly hope I can achieve this too. There is fantastic resources and I can't believe how helpful the community is :)
